Here in Hernando County, I buy my TT for .50 @ Publix or Walmart. All the paper "boxes" around here are .50 also. I've heard that you get a few higher value coupons in the SPT vs TT (ex.. $1/1 vs $1/2) don't know if that's true or not?
The one thing I can't get out of my head is..... In the top corner of the paper, they print "more than $XX.XX worth of coupons inside" Isn't that false advertising if the inserts aren't included? In my mind, they are using this statement to entice people to buy the paper! I used to buy the SPT Sunday double pack for $1.25 until I realized I was regularly missing inserts. I starting buying TT and only one time was I missing one of them. I buy 14 papers each week from Publix (10 for me, 4 for my Mom). I'd rather have a few lower value coupons, than no coupons!!
I spoke with another couponer at the recycle bin a few months ago, she was telling me that she gets 25 copies of the SPT (Sun only) every week for 350/yr (.27/paper). She said she just called the local paper distributer and they made her that deal. They are bundled and dropped by her front door each Sun.
