Default Question about BOGO policy at Publix

Sorry for asking a basic question but I looked for the answer in the FAQ but didn't find it there. We will be travelling to FL next week and will do our shopping at a Publix. What is Publix's policy when you only buy one item of a BOGO special? Do you pay full price or do they charge 50% of the price?

    TIA

When they have a sale for b1g1 free you have to pay full price the first one you buy of and the other one will be free....I am thinking that if you only get one item it will ring up at regluar price.

Thanks! My favorite store's policy is that each item rings up at 50% but I know not all stores do that.

Publix has different ways of ringing up bogos (not sure if it's dependent on area or by state). I know some Publix (Georgia perhaps?), each one rings 1/2 price. My Publix in FL, the first one rings full price and the second rings at $0.

Florida stores do the first item at full price, second one is free.
It really rings up two items at full price and then does a third line promotional discount for the second item price, which essentially makes the second one free.

With B1G1 items at Publix stores where I've shopped in Nashville, buy 1, it's half-price. Wow, I just assumed they all did it that way.

Note: even though the second item rings up free, you can use 2 coupons. Buy 2 widgets, one is full price, one is free, use 2 mfg and/or 2 Publix or competitors coupons on that purchase. NICE!
