Is chicken considered "Meat" for the Publix May Calendar coupons?

For those of you lucky enough to live in the counties with the calendar coupons, May says $ 1 meat or seafood.

So,

Is Chicken Meat??

I can just see them saying, no it has to be beef?

I guess Pork is Meat also, right?

What to you think?

As a Catholic, we always considered chicken as meat during Lent , so I say go for it!

Although some "vegetarians" still eat chicken and fish out of some crazy justification... I certainly hope chicken is meat! What else would it be?

I tried to use a winetag a long time ago for meat and was trying to buy chicken. I was told it is considered poultry so they wouldn't let me use it.

interesting thoughts... Hmm, I found webster, they say meat is

flesh of a mammal as opposed to fowl or fish

A fowl is

a bird of any kind

Technically it's a no, chicken is not meat, but pork is.
