In the same region (within 20 miles of each other), I have stores that:
Do NOT accept expired Publix
Accept expired Publix for a few days after expiration
Accept expired Publix for up to a month after expiration
In other words,
Does your Publix take expired Publix coupons even if you live in an area that does not normally take expired coupons?
I'm trying to convince my store to do it, and have heard a few ppl on here say that their store does it.
Trying to get an idea of how many stores do this??

My store will only take their own expired coupons (not mfg.) if the product is out of stock and they do not get it in by the time the coupon expires. I've had to do this twice recently because they had trouble getting the product from the warehouse and they know I asked about it several times during that week. The manager will initial the coupon to prevent any questions at the register later.
Not anymore. There were stores up to about January that would take expired Publix store coupons in my area, and starting January the region tightened up.
There is only one store that I know of now that will take expired Publix coupons, within a couple of days.

Several months back, one of my stores did take a couple of expired Publix coupons. I haven't asked lately.

Publix coupons use a look up number. Corporate removes the look up number from the computer after expiration date. They should not be accepted because they don't have an accurate way of ringing them up. That is just the text book answer, i'm sure stores will always vary by experience.
I live in Gainesville/Cumming Georgia area and I've never had a problem with any of the Publix I shop at taking their own expired coupons. Even on sale items where using it would net me free whatever!!!It's been less than a month when I last used the expired coupons...and if by some miracle one has expired and I don't realize it, the cashiers will always tell me "this is expired, but I'll go ahead and take it"...I thank them kindly and go about my business!!!
I think it's ALWAYS going to be a YMMV kind of issue depending on store/employee/manager...Come to think of it, thinking back now after the question I don't think I've ever been turned down at using their own expired coupons...but Heaven FORBID you not notice a MF coupon that's expired that you give them!!!!!!!
Which I never understood...it's a fact the coupon redemption place takes them up to six months expired (that's the last I heard anyway!!!)...anyone know that information?
