I'm actually talking about the clearinghouse above that one. the one where all kroger and publix coupons supposedly go to be sorted to the appropriate manu clearinghouse, such as the one you reference above. if i remember correctly, it's offshore, somewhere tropical i think. someone knows what i'm talking about...

The same thing happened to me. Publix wouldn't take the Save-A-Lot coupon saying that it was because Save-A-Lot mostly carried generics. But when Aldi opened a few months later, they did take that coupon even though Aldi is 100% generic from what I've seen. Strange.

If they think SAL is mostly generic, they're mistaking. By a long shot. Not only do they carry a lot of National brand stuff, they also take coupons, IP coupons, etc. Sure, they have their own brand, but so does Publix.

rofl! No, I haven't heard anything recently. The SM hasn't heard anything new either. They were supposed to get the new software a few months ago but it has been indefinitely postponed. HOPEFULLY to fix the coupon issues.

Will let you guys know when I hear anything else.

This is the only thing I've found so far (article in today's paper):

At 70 locations, Publix is testing new cash register scanning systems that automatically check information such as the expiration date on coupons. The goal is to speed checkout for even heavy coupon users.
