Albertson's IS a competitor. Publix bought 49 Albertsons stores in Florida. This affected 15 stores in Northern and Northwest Florida, 30 locations in Central Florida, and four locations in South Florida. The sale was completed in September 2008. THESE STORES WERE RE-BRANDED AS PUBLIX. The remaining Albertson's stores in Florida are operated by Albertson's LLC under a Cerberus-led group.

I've always found that to be true. Some Albertson's meat was nearly inedible. As with all coupons, in the end, it is ultimately left up to the Manager's discretion. If your manager is a poopy-head, anti coupon person, you're not going to get very far with them. Most of them are smart enough to realize accepting coupons is a GOOD thing and increases sales. I buy much more stuff with coupons than I ever would without.
