They may have an occasional good stock-up sale on canned and dry goods but I wouldn't recommend buying anything from them that employees have had to handle. On the WD forum, there's more and more grumbling that their coupon policy is not that great and they're cutting back on issuing Catalinas, so there's really not much point in going there any more.

Albertson's and Sweetbay are terribly overpriced. We aren't fortunate enough to have an Aldi's here in our podunk little town. I won't step foot in a Walmart any more.

I've tried 'em all at one time or another and Publix is the one I keep coming back to.

Ick, bad/expired meat at WD?? That's awful, I might reconsider shopping there....I only get ribs or beef roasts there on occasion when I'm nearby and I normally just get chicken at Albertson's (I'm lucky enough to have a Hunter in the house, so our freezer's pretty stocked with other red meats)....don't get me wrong though, I don't buy anything else there....Albie's is really overpriced on everything else...

Here's the link to the news article: Naples mom finds expired food on store shelves - FOX 4 WFTX - Cape Coral, Fort Myers, Naples News, Weather

It only aired about a month ago, so when the article is talking about meat that expired in 2009...that's pretty gross!
