Mother's Day coupons????? Yes, today!

Funny thing happened today just before checking out at Publix

They announced over the loudspeaker, which they never do, 19 cent fresh french bread!! When I got to the cashier a clerk had the bread and these $1/1 any bakery coupons that expired today, 6/30.

So the bread is $1.19 then she hands you the coupon. I declined, then she showed me the little 5x7 coupon sheet. The other two coupons on there were also exp today

$2 any publix fresh cut fruit of $2 or more May 1 - June 30
$3/25 purchase May 1 - June 30

I took the sheet, and bought the bread.

Upon examination, the back of the sheet shows me that it was torn from some type of Mother's day booklet, white paper, pink writing.

It says "here at Publix we know what being a mother is all about....:

Now, tell me, where were these coupons and booklets in May??

oh that is LAME! I would have taken my happy self straight to the SM and (nicely) joked that it would have been nice to have seen those earlier to take advantage of them!

I found today a display full with 27 P&G Saving booklet and all coupons expired 06/30/10. I was at this Publix store yesterday and guess what the display hasn't been their.

The Mother's Day coupons were supposed to be given out to people who did the "decorate a cake for your mom" cake....

I guess your store had extras.

I was at my store when they were running decorate a cake event. And they weren't giving any coupons. It was only one page with a picture of the mom decorating a cake and no coupons have been attached.

My daughter's elementary school has a program with Publix where they bring the cakes to the school for the kids to decorate and bring home. These coupons were sent home with the cakes, attached to the heart-shaped pan. When I was at the store where they were doing the decorating they did not have the coupons. Got lucky I guess.

yeah i received two of these lovely booklets for mothers day as part of my childrens elementary school program with publix. I got a decorated heart shaped cake & the card w/ the coupons on them...HTH

I have noticed this a lot at the stores around me too. I will see these great coupon books or tearpads talked about on this forum and I will search and search my stores for them but never find them. They always tend to appear when they have less than a week before they expire :sad:

we decorated cakes and never saw these booklets
Of course I never find any booklets, and there is only one Publix that is convenient to me here :(
