Publix Miami-Dade, Broward shoppers: Check in!
I just wanted to see how many Miami-Dade and Broward Publix shoppers we have on this forum. I am hoping to find others down here in South Florida who are big into couponing like me. I always feel like I am the only one at the stores I go to lol.

Re: Publix Miami-Dade, Broward shoppers: Check in!
Hi! I am in Broward. I know how you feel. I sometimes feel like I am the only one in my area who is addicted to using coupons. Luckily, I have recently talked my neighbors into doing it also. I can tell that very few people use coupons around my area. One day in one of my Publix's near me a casher was shocked that I gave her two coupons on a bogo item. She has been working in that store for 7 years and she never had someone use two coupons before on a bogo item? Wow.

Hi! I am in Broward as well. The cashiers & baggers at my Publix know I use coupons and love to see how much money I save each week. I give them tips on how to save money or when there is a really great deal so they can do it as well.

What stores do you guys shop at? I typically go to the one in Miami Lakes but I also occasionally venture into the Miramar/pines area.

Re: Publix Miami-Dade, Broward shoppers: Check in!
I am in Broward county. And one Publix which is very closed to my house very unfriendly. Each printable coupon are examinated by cashier, cashier supervisor and manager assistante. Yesterday I bougth Digiorno -Pizza & Breadstick and a cashier looked at the coupon at ligth, different angeles, matched with a box and still went to supervisor for an approval. If I am lucky to get one thing for which I can have an overage, it seems as a big victory. I would never go to some cashiers because it can take about 20 minutes to check out 10 things with 10 coupons.

Re: Publix Miami-Dade, Broward shoppers: Check in!
Yikes! Ive been learning what cashiers to avoid at mine as well. More than anything I get tired of their policy constantly changing. I have been using cvs and target coupons for a year, no problems and yesterday I was told they no longer take them. The week before I was told they dont take 2 coupons per item...It gets very frustrating at times. But every once in a while i get a great cashier.
I cant believe they exam the printables THAT closely, I mean a real vs a fake is fairly obvious. I always bring a big stack of printables in, they would faint if I showed up at your store.

I'm also in Broward. My stores are hit or miss with cashiers. Sometimes their great, sometimes they're terrible. I know usually who to go to, but they cycle through them sometimes and I end up with someone new. I always ask now "Do you mind people who coupon?" before handing them over. If they're hestitant or whatever, I apologize and move to another lane.

Re: Publix Miami-Dade, Broward shoppers: Check in!
I'm in The Hammocks, aka West Kendall Miami-Dade County, I have learned to calmly and easily deal with the unpleasant or difficult cashiers and not let it affect my couponing. Last night the cashiers said that they stopped taking internet coupons because of fakes, I just turned around and asked the first white shirt when did they stop. That was new to him. The cashiers in the next lane added that they did not take "FREE" item coupons. My cashiers scanned mine coupons, and I apologized for arguing. Always leave them happy.

I'm in South Palm (Boca) but I shop in N. Broward a lot because it's MUCH cheaper... usually deerfield beach or coconut creek

I am in Broward out by Sawgrass Mills area. I have been hit or miss with the coupons too, but I always try! I have had more problems at Walgreens, Walmart, and Target than I have had at Publix. I hardly ever see people using a big stack of coupons when I shop. We must all be hiding from one another :)
