This is just a theory, but the cashier probably entered your RR as a competitor's coupon for a taxable item. Publix treats competitor's coupons like store coupons, and store coupons take off tax in FL so $10 x 6.5% (I'm guessing this is the sales tax rate in your locality) = $0.65. Everything in your order was a food item, which is not taxed in FL, so you would have had $0 tax to begin with therefore subtracting the $0.65 yielded negative $0.65 tax.
This is most likely the case.

I was wondering how the double coupon policy in a Florida Publix differs from the ones in North Ga. Here we can double coupons up to $.50 and our BOGO's ring up 1/2 price for each item. Is that the same way that it is in the Pensacola area? TIA!:shrug7:
Nope, sorry to tell you but the stores in Pensacola (and all of FL as far as I know) do not double coupons at all. BOGO rings up at full price and zero, but you can use two coupons on a bogo still.

Yep,
Florida Publix's DO NOT double, they have no competition here so they don't have to.
We do not have a big choice of supermarkets so we luck out.....

I use to live in Pensacola about 10 yrs. ago and I remember them doubling q's back then. This was when Delchamps was is business and they use to triple! So, when did FL. stop doubling?
man.. I saw the thread topic and I got excited thinking.. are we going to start doubling??? :-( Unfortunately no, None of Florida doubles... which stinks cause most of the stores are in Florida including the corporate offices!! :-P We should all plan a road trip to Lakeland to protest no doubles...lol
