Also watch out if they scan the coupon from another store sometimes it will scan as one of their items. My coupon for -1.00 veggies scaned as a 5 lb of onions at +3.99. Another time as a box of stuffing mix coupon rang up as a $5.00 jar of nuts.

Stocked up on tons of Rice a roni, Hungry Man dinners, ketchup, pickles, you name it. I had it all organized and it went great. I felt like I saved a ton and the kids were having a great time unloading all the groceries. This is the first time I have used so many coupons at one time. The cashier was getting upset and she had to hold up the line to get a manager to override the sale as "I was using too many coupons". I had a whole crowd of people behind me and I thought I was going to die so I had to keep telling myself not to feel bad about using all these coupons. Finally they got a manager and they worked it out. Is that normal to have to get an override? I was wondering if it was the store policy or just the cashier. She seemed very flustered with all the coupons and did'nt want to take the Target coupons etc. but I was persistant and she finally agreed. I tried my best to be polite but I was determined that I was not going to apologize for saving my family money. My teenage dd said, "Mom if your going to use all these coupons you better get used to this."

It was the cashier, Publix will honor all the coupons you have, it's just the system will only allow so many, then a mgr or customer service team leader has to come and over ride. I know I work for Publix and I do it all the time for my ladies.

I didn't know that Publix took competitor coupons. Will have to try it next time.

I will be visiting the Orlando area starting next Sunday (The 18th) My family is looking to me to get good deals for our meals bycouponing for our time share. What is the best way to save at Publix. That is where we tend to shop at when we come there from VA. I am used to stores that double and triple coupons. Help me you all, i have to show off my couponing talents!!

Publix store in FL accept competitor's coupons, manufacturer's, their own store coupons and B1G1's. They have on their web site publix.com a list of B1G1's available each week. You can stack the store and manufacturer's. No doubles or triple in FL though. HTH

If you wait a day or 2 you'll be able to see what's going to be on sale this Sunday. Then check out the sticky here and see the matchups and maybe try to plan meals around those sales.

And I would try to call now to the Publix you usually go to and ask to speak with a manager (get their name too) or to speak with someone who will be working on Sunday at the time you'll be shopping to find out their exact coupon policy. Some stores will only accept other grocery store q's while others will accept Target q's also.

And nope, no doubling or tripling here in FL! Boo!

Thank you so much!! I greatly appreciate you checking that out for me. How does SuperWalmart and SuperTarget compare to Publix? I have never shopped there so I don't know about the savings.

I buy buying anything but meat at super Walmart - the prices are good but you won't get any B1G1's.

Default Re: Newbie Questions for Publix Shoppers

Hello, I just registered, and I have a question. I got a pepsi coupon off of a box of pepsi 12-pack. My question is......It has the word "publix" on the front of it, but it does not say anywhere that it must be used at publix. I also got one off of a dr. pepper box, and it says publix on it too. It DOES say on the front and back that it must be used at publix. So.....does the pepsi coupon have to be used there, as it has the word publix on it but does not state that it must be redeemed there. Any advice would be great!!!!

thanks!
