Default Re: Newbie Questions for Publix Shoppers

Has anyone used BJs qs at Publix? I recvd a magazine from BJs today with several good general mills qs in it that say mfc q but say use only at BJs. They were $10/5 and it has a picture at the top of the page of all the general mills products and several other qs. Would be a great deal if I could use them at publix. May just try my store to see. They take T, FL, and WD.

Do Publix stores take Target coupons from the coupon generator?

D'oh. I should have kept reading. I was sooo excited though.

Hello! I was hoping that someone could explain what the term "WT" means? It seems to be listed behind meat and seafood sale items.

Thanks,

It stands for Wine Tag. It is a coupon found on the bottles of wine.

I have found out so much info from reading. Thanks to all of you! Can't wait to start saving even more!

My questions is... Where are you getting the competitor coupons? I know about the Target printables, but do you actually have to shop at Winn Dixie or Albertsons to get their coupons?

Some of the competitor coupons are from home mailers, like the Winn-Dixie Baby Club mailers. Sometimes there are coupons in the ads, like Albertsons will have a $5/50 Q (after coupons) in their ad on occasion. There are also sometimes store coupons in Target, as well as the online printables. People find these competitor at a variey of sources, it will usually be listed next to the coupon match when I do the ad.
To be honest, Winn-Dixie store Q's are no longer found in store, nor have I found any other than in the sales ad in Albies. You can get those in the Wednesday paper.
It would be a good idea to see what your stores accept for competitor, and you can go from there.

Thanks, Cathy! I actually just got one of those Albertsons 5/50 in the flier I got in the mail yesterday. Yay!

I do have another question... I called Publix last night to ask about what they accept, etc. They said that they accept cents off printables, but nothing for free. Which I knew from reading here. But... I'm wondering if they will accept $1 off printables?? The guy I spoke to had to put me on hold to get my questions answered, so he wasn't very knowledgeable.

They should. The term "cents off" means that the coupon is for a specific, fixed amount. $1 off is still considered "cents off". As with any grocery store, though, sometimes the local store puts more stringent rules in place.

Yes, sometimes the "cents off" can be misconstrued.
Basicially they just don't take "Free product" IP's, but some stores will impose their own limits on IP's only being accepted up to .99 or $1, because of the "cents off."
I just tell them $2 is 200 "cents off" .
Most of the time, there is not a big issue with printables at the stores, especially in FL.

I know this post was from almost a year ago, but I called the Tarpon Springs Publix yesterday and was told that they do accept Target and Wal-Mart coupons.

Just in case someone else in the area is reading this thread.
