I'm from L.A. (lower alabama) too but reside in Columbia, SC now. For those of you who would like to get the penny coupon without buying a Wednesday paper, you can visit The State.com (our local paper) and subscribe to their electronic pdf version of the paper for free after signing up for one day pass. I get the coupon every week that way. It's on page A5 today- simply click on the coupon and print it. It states it's valid in GA, AL, TN, and SC.

Try asking about it at your store's CS desk -- several stores here in Atlanta either will hand out a photocopy of the coupon, or say they don't require it.
