My great shopping trip at Publix!- Post your brags here

Yesterday I bought:

4 1/2 lb semi boned pre-cooked ham
2 boxes of BC potatoes
Total oop (with tax) $2.67!

On the 23rd, I had a couple hours to organize my coupons - good therapy. I had planned to try to get some Glade on clearance at Publix after Christmas. Lucky me - I went to Publix to get ice cream for my son's 13th birthday party and some items I still needed for Christmas Eve.

I couldn't believe my eyes when I walked in the door and all their Christmas stuff was 50% off and they had shelves of Glade products. Woo Hoo. Called my folks to see if they could bring the ice cream to the party cause I knew it would melt while checking out.

I got all sorts of expensive cheeses, dips and items for a big relish tray. Also lots of Chinet napkins, Glade products and the Ziplock bags which were on sale along with about 7 Christmas gifts which were marked 50% off and I had $1 off Publix coupons.

I totaled up my receipts today:

$710.79 worth of stuff
Paid: $79.05

I think the cheese, dips and relish tray ingredients were probably over $100. Doing the happy happy dance here in Florida esp. cause it wasn't my normal coupon friendly store!

I am not a pro at this yet. But will get there for sure. I think I do pretty well so far. My best trip so far was a few days ago.

my husband and family love for me to do this. My sister and I went to a class to show us how to do this and she has always used coupons. But says I get better deals than she does. So we help each other now. They are starting to know me at Publix for sure lol.

I am so jealous. I was in FL recently for a month for work. I LOVE Publix. Wish they would come to NC. Keep up the good work ya'll.

Had a $5 off 5 SC Johnson coupon that expired today, so off to Publix the (wonderful and sweet) husband went, with detailed shopping list in hand...Here's the score:

Spent: $7.73 OOP
Saved: $36.66
Saved 82.5%

Here's what he bought:
Rosetto Beef Ravioli (x4-- it's on advantage buy for $3.15-- regularly $4.49, used a raincheck from when it was BOGO-- plus 4 $1 off coupons), 6 ziploc gallon storage bags (-$5 off 5 SC Johnson products Publix Q and 3 $1/2 Ziploc Qs), Frosted Mini Wheats (x4-- BOGO, less $1 off any Kellogg's product Q x4) plus used a $10 off $40 competitor's Q

This may be my best savings percentage at a grocery store yet!

I also had to use the publix SC Johnson q before it expired. Today I got the following....

4 Glade Scented OIl Candle holders (clearanced at my store)
1 Glade spray
5 chex mix bags
5 ziploc holiday containers
2 scotch brite sponges

tax 2.14

Grand Total 2.84

Savings at Publix 50.93

I love Publix. I think this is the best I have ever done. I am particularly proud of the fact that I did the all "on the fly." The holiday conatiners were NOT on sale yesterday and I was planning on going and getting the clearanced Glade candles that someone else mentioned on here. The candles were not marked down at my store but the Scented oil kit were marked down.

This was my first trip since joining HCW. This is pretty cool. My total was $19.xx.
