Re: My great shopping trip at Publix!- Post your brags here I had to go and use that 10/75 [from WD] coupon there, since I had some other nice coupons, making my shopping worthwhile to actually GET 75 dollars worth of stuff... except they ended up not having a couple things I really wanted, so I had to improvise and get other stuff (I thought I'd given them enough time to get the darn hillshire farms entree salad things)
Anyway... here's the breakdown of what I walked away with:
1 box kellogg's cocoa krispies
1 box kellogg's fruit loop smoothies (the cereals were BOGO, but I found out that the 1.00/2 coupon was expired! :o  )
4 bags of pepperidge farms bagels (had a BOGO rain check, and .55 coupons for each one)
1 box of Quaker simple harvest hot cereal (on sale 2/5, had a coupon for 1.00 off)
1 box of Quaker sweet & salty granola bars (on sale for 2.79, but they were free with the simple harvest; they ended up taking off 3.25 though--the coupon is pre-programmed!)
1 loaf of publix bread (had a .50 coupon)
1 2-liter diet pepsi (on sale 4/5)
1 2-liter diet sierra mist (had coupon to get free with the diet pepsi)
1 bag sorrento stringsters string cheese (1.00 coupon, a peelie; one of the items I grabbed in leiu of the salad things)
1 bag of simply potatoes (on sale 2/4, had a .55 coupon, also something I just grabbed... )
6 weight watchers yogurts (they cost a lot--7/5.00--but I had a 1.00 store coupon and a 1.00 manu coupon)
2 philly cream cheeses (had to have them for the bagels! on sale 4/5)
2 bags of chex mix (BOGO, had one coupon for .50--ran out of coupons :( )
2 3-packs of fleischmann's yeast--they were supposed to ring up at 1.10 for a special in store, but they rang up wrong, so I got one for free, and one for 1.10, and I had TWO 1.00 coupons, so I got paid!! hooray!)
6 hunt's snack pack puddings (on sale for .80 each, and had three .35/2 coupons)
1 pack of smart balance spread (on sale 1.99 and had a .40 coupon)
8 Mahatma rice sides (on sale for .50 each, and had four .50/2 coupons)
3 cans of bush's chili beans (.87, had a coupon for .50/3)
1 jar peter pan peanut butter (had a coupon to get it free)
4 boxes of ronzoni spaghetti (BOGO)
2 12-packs of pop tarts (BOGO/2.50 and had a 1.00/2 coupon)
1 jar of Duke's mayonnaise (on sale for 2.00 and a coupon for .90 off)
2 butterball turkey keilbasas (had a 1.00/2 coupon, and something I grabbed to get up to my 75.00)
2 yogo rollers (BOGO/2.59 and a 1.00 coupon for each)
2 yogo bits (BOGO and a 1.00/2 coupon)
2 other kellogg's fruit snacks (BOGO and a 1.00/2 coupon)
1 half gallon lactaid (on sale 2.99, had a 1.00 coupon)
2 bottles of arm & hammer laundry detergent (on clearance sale from 5.49 to 2.00, and I had a 1.00 coupon for each!!)
OK... so my total should have been: 120.01
How much did I pay??? Only 37.66! :D
Total savings: 82.35!!!!!!!!!!
woohoo! PLUS! I'm getting back 10 bucks from Kellogg's, pulling my OOP to only 27.66 and savings up to 92.35! yay!
I think that may be the best I've ever done at Publix... I always do pretty good there, but that was really fun. It would have been even more fun if I had realized that the stupid kellogg's coupon for cereal expired before the others did! :o
The two elderly ladies in line behind me were amazed. I could hear them talking, "she's doing good, she is. Can you imagine how much she'd save back home with double coupons? They don't do that here..." they were cute. :D ) |
