My great shopping trip at Publix!- Post your brags here

I went in today and purchased the following:

17 Suave Shampoos
10 Boxes of Special K Bars
4 Bottles of Windex with Lime Action (on clearance!)
2 Loaves of Bread
4 Old El Paso Soft Taco Dinner Kits
2 Packages of Old El Paso Taco Seasoning
8 of the 2 pack plastic containers of the Gerber Organic Baby Food
1 of the small bowls of Honey Nut Cheerios

My total after all of my coupons was $9.07!!!!

I was absolutely pleased with myself. And, with all of my nausea and sickness going on with this pregnancy, I needed a good pick me up!

I scored at Publix today. I was so excited, I almost peed!!!!
I got


17 bottles of Head and Shoulders shampoo (found on clearance shelf for 2.00).. had coupon for 3.00/2

19 bottles of Suave shampoo on sale for 1.00 (FREE with .50/1 double coupon)

5 bottles of Garnier FRuctis shampoo and conditioner (found on clearance shelf for 1.25) had 1.00 off coupons

2 boxes of Strawberry Chex cereal found on clearance for 2.00 (had .75 coupons)

2 bags of Simply Potatoes BOGO with .50 off coupon (doubled)

OOP was 12.56!!!
YAY!!!

The cashier told me that I needed to teach a class on couponing.. she was so excited for me so I told her about this website and the girl behind me in line wrote it down too. LOL.

This is my first bragging post....it was one of my best trips so I had to tell someone who would appreciate it and of course that would be my favorite forum group at Hot Coupon World....

All of this for the low price of $4.83!!! I don't know who was more excited - Me, my Mom who was in line behind me or the cashier!! I couldn't have done it without you all so thank you very much!!!

wow that is amazing!! how many coupons could you per item , ho wdid you do that and how and when do you know when to double them I'm new any help would be greatly appreciated

this was so cool, because i had a mgr bagging & a young, amazed cashier who wanted to make sure she was doing things right for mgr. he told her yes, to all coups, incl IP's, manuf combined w/publix, bogo, etc. he just kept saying "yes, she bought it (cheerfully, too)". i also asked him about competitors & he said sure, even catalinas, as long as its a groc store. i told him how i've heard some store mgrs, at other stores, are so restrictive, & he proudly smiled!! at the end she was amazed & he even shook my hand, to which i replied "this is why i love publix"

i got:

6 special k breakfast bars
1 bic 10 pk mech pencil
5 sm perrier water
1 clearanced snawsome p/butr apple dog snack
2 sundwn B-50
2 sundwn vit D

almost $50 woth of groc for $2.80

Hey Debbie:) and welcome--I can tell you what I did--


-For the Suaves I had .50 q which doubled so those where FREE=$16
-I had a raincheck for the Nesquik($6) and softsoap($11)(both for $1) and had .50 q also FREE
-bananas n grapes had a FL com. q $2/5
-cups and special k bars no coupon but I had a $5/30 coupon

thats how I did it--hope to see your savings soon

Wow...I just cant wait till the day i can do that . question how do you know when you get to double the coupons? will publix also take Internet printed coupons? i went today and didnt get to use any coupons ;( I spent about $60 and didnt get much... i have to get more coupons...lol

Debbie,
I believe all the Publix stores double coupons--with the exception of those in Florida (sorry guys). And I think most of the stores are pretty accommodating when it comes to IPs, however I don't think most of them will honor a coupon that is for a "FREE" product (if there's a dollar amount, that's different, but if it just states "Free XYZ" they don't usually accept them).
