HAPPY DANCE Re: My great shopping trip at Publix!- Post your brags here

my first Publix trip in over 6 1/2 years! when I shopped there in the past, they didn't doulbe coupons & I don't remember them taking competitor coupons either.

Spent $37.44 ($1.70 was tax)
Saved $90.86
bought:
*8 Jose Ole taquitos (2- $1/1 & 6- .75/1)
*4 12 packs of RC, 7 Up, & Sunkist (Publix Q- B3,G1F)
*2 Deans dip guacamoli (2- .55/1)
*8 Progresso soups (4- .50/2)
*4 Lipton 100 ct tea bags (4- .50/1)
*3 Fleishmanns margarine (3- .55/1)
*2 Kelloggs Raisin Bran Crunch
*3 Birds Eye Steam Fresh Corn (3- .35/1- couldn't find Publix book w/ Q in it)
*4 Swiss Miss Great Start hot chocolate (4- .50/1)
*2 Old El Paso lrg Salsa (.55/2 & $1/2 Publix)
*1 Publix 2 liter Cola (penny item coupon- thanks to the lady behind me!)

also used a $10/$75 Winn Dixie catalina coupon! Saved close to 71%- best trip for me in ages upon ages! I used to have 2 great $1 doubles stores in Indiana & often saved 90% & up but they both quit doubling $1 coupons a few yrs back. Had to drive a little ways but it is worth it for the savings! We saved enough in tax to make up for the gas too! (food tax is higher where I live)
thanks for all of the great tips here! I found some of the Publix booklets but not all so have to look more on my next trip.

Re: My great shopping trip at Publix!- Post your brags here

I was so so happy last night. First I went to Target and got my total down from $112.XX to $24.XX, and then I went to Publix. This was only my second trip to Publix with Coupons, even though I have used coupons at other stores for years. Anyways, my first trip didn't go so great because they said in the future that store doesn't take IP Qs even though I called and made sure they did before I came.

Last night though, I called a different one by the Target, and they said they take IP and Target Qs as competitor Qs. I went last night, and while they were annoyed by all my Qs they let me use them, and didn't say I couldn't come back. I used 10 $.50/1 Target Qs for poptarts, 3 $1/1 Target Qs for Pepsi and a $5/$50 from Albertsons along with my MQ and Publix Qs.

I got:
10 boxes of Poptarts
3 12 packs of Pepsi
2 South Beach Diet Frozen meals
2 Gallons of drinking water
6 Motts juice boxes
8 boxes of Cheerios
2 boxes of Crystal light on the go
2 lbs. bananas
1 4pk Promise Active Super shots

My total was $17.XX I know it isn't the greatest total, but in the land of no doubles and without the Publix Q for Motts it was pretty good to me! Not to mention my four boys go through a box of poptarts in one day. I will be going back for more of those today, I have enough Qs for 40 boxes :hectic1:.

Nothing in particular special - I had 5 coupons of $1/1 any size Dawn Dish Detergent left that I wanted to use up, so I got the smallest size available which made them .59 ea, and I used the considerable overage of my other sales to pay for my meat purchases. I took care of the extra coupon issue [having more coupons than items by simultaneously using both publix and manu coupons on most of them] by buying the individual pieces of fruit to rack up enough individual items, so all coupons would get accepted.
