| Re: My great shopping trip at Publix!- Post your brags here $300+ in coupons...wow. I can barely keep track of all the coupons on my small $30 before coupon trips. This must have taken some serious planning! I've only this month started tracking what I buy and how much I save in coupons, RRs, etc. and how much I spend out of pocket. It's pretty impressive

| Re: My great shopping trip at Publix!- Post your brags here The cashiers/managers always laugh at me because I come in with my envelopes and excel spreadsheets, calculator and pen/paper. :D It DOES take planning, and some on-the-fly math. (And a VERY coupon-friendly Publix) but it is SO worth it!!
I also drive an hour just to get to Publix (two hours round-trip) so I can't do a little at a time- otherwise I would. I have to do it all in one fell-swoop.
I didn't break down my trip into coupons, I just don't have time to type it all up, but here's what I bought... Moneymakers
10 Eggo Waffles
5 fruit items
4 Kingsford Charcoal (with raincheck)
4 beef items
4 pork items
4 Glad straws
16 Covergirl Mascara
3 Yakisoba
10 Clorox Greenworks items
2 Cascade rinse items (with Clean in your cart q's)
2 Bounty paper towels (with Clean in your cart q's)
19 Birdseye vegetables
3 Lea&Perrins Worcestersire Sauce Free things (after coupon/s)
10 Purina One Cat Food
6 Reusable Bags Nearly Free/ Super-Cheap items
10 YoPlait YoPlus
2 Smart Balance sticks
3 Lender's Bagels (with raincheck)
3 Tide Stain Release (with Clean in your cart q's)
1 Bounce Dryer Bar (with Clean in your cart q's)
2 Cheerios
9 Spray -n- Wash
10 Dole fruit bowls
4 Sabra Hummus Other things
2 Publix Salad Mix
2 Sorrento Cheese Sticks
1 Organic Valley Half Gallon Milk
1 Chunk Parmesan
1 Tropicana
3 Publix Greenwise Organic Black beans
oh- and I'm also going to use this reciept for the Kitchen set (P&G products purchased).

| Re: My great shopping trip at Publix!- Post your brags here Well done! I guess I am grateful to be so close to 3 or 4 Publix supermarkets. I often run out every day or two to pick something up....especially since I have absolutely no room in either of my freezers for another item after the money makers on Mrs. Paul's a few weeks ago.
I debate getting another freezer but I'm sure that one would be filled up in no time at all and I'd be in the same boat. Two should be enough....keeps me in check. |

I LOVE PUBLIX!!! | You're AMAZING!!! if it weren't for the taxes due, Publix would be paying you $14+ to take all those items.... !!!
You're probably on cloud 9 right now...If it were me, I'd be running around town, acting a fool, for days
I applaud you for doing such a great job

I LOVE PUBLIX!!! | Great Job! I was just curious does it take a long time for the cashier to deduct those coupons? I break out into a sweat when I give just 12 coupons and there is someone behind me.
I wish I was as brave as you. |

And they're both so packed that when you open them, something falls out! Maybe a small chest freezer wouldn't be too much?

I wish I was as brave as you. | Y.E.S. I always plan at least thirty minutes at the register when I do a HUMONGOUS trip like this. I also hope and look for the cashiers that know me and I know are fast. On this particular trip only one of my faves was there, and she was working the self-checkout.
I filled up one grocery cart and needed another so I walked to the front with it and asked one of the asst mgrs if I could leave it at register one (unmanned) while I finished up. He said "sure!" and got another cart for me. I filled up cart two (well, about halfway. LOL) and walked up there where one of my fave cashiers was on self checkout. I went to get my basket and asked her if someone could help me take the other one over to reg.3 (where a coupon-friendly - and new - cashier was working- I knew she was new because I broke her in a few weeks back on her very first day. ). She said, "well, hang on." and went to talk to the asst mgr. Then she went and got a drawer and opened up another laane for me! Asst mgr jumped on self-checkout. This was an AWESOME trip! The asst mgr asked me if I taught a coupon class (meanwhile he was punching in his override code. LOL). I said no, but had considered it.
It really pays to shop at one store and get to know everyone there. This particular cashier, I know, doesn't have a printer and a lot of times I will bring her printables or Targetq's or flips that are a good deal and share deals with her (I also know she uses food stamps, so she is very grateful for my tips). I have absolutely no problems, ever, with any coupons at this store. I am also on very friendly terms with the store manager (who has told me that if I come in and don't say hi to him, I'm in trouble.)
