| Re: Knox coupon not for gelatin product? I don't feel it is wrong to use. I got this coupon ok'd by several managers that thoroughly inspected it. I have high morals so if it was wrong I would not use it, however it is ok to use so I will. It doesn't beep and I am buying a knox product so all is well. I even had the "coupon police managers" look at it. Also knowing that the HCW mods do a great job making sure we are doing things right gives me a peace of mind.

| Re: Knox coupon not for gelatin product? Well that's weird because at all my stores alot of coupons beep and they don't know why. They always check and it is the right item so I don't know what causes it. Any knox is any knox and the mods here have checked on it so I don't think it is wrong. Knox had this coupon last year and people used it and if it was wrong I think they would have fixed it. For example, the adam's flea product coupons used to not exclude collars and now it did this time around. Knox might do the same thing but I don't know for sure yet. I have used this coupon before and Walmart said they get reimbursed and that it is right so that is what I am going with also. I don't want to cheat anyone but I do want my fair share as long as it is done honestly.

| Re: Knox coupon not for gelatin product? It is YMMV but my Walmart takes them with no problem.

Long story short - I had 4 of the gelatines along with the Knox $4 q's included in all that and the manger told me "no." Then i stated my case (re Knox q's being valid for the gelatine)and he said he would let it slide this one time but that it was against SC law to allow overage. Now, I am pretty sure that is not true! I told him that i didn't want special treatment I just wanted to follow the rules but he didn't explain much more about it. I asked - "What is illegal about a manufacturer paying money to promote their brand?" And he had nothing to say. Oh, well. I don't want to rock the boat b/c my Publix always allows overage. I guess I'll take my Knox q's to Walmart or something. Any suggestions? | for as long as any SM says, "we'll take it this one time", I know there's no problem with the coupon and its use. After all, as the manager why take it if you know its not redeemed properly? they can just refuse acceptance and that is within their rights. Even the company cannot force them to take their coupons.
You were right in standing your ground. As to overage, it either goes to store or to consumer. The store is already raking in profits, so what's wrong with consumers getting the overage? If store's policy is not to give cash back, it equates to more sales for them since the consumer would buy more in order to cover for the overage. If that's not win-win, IDK what is. I wish they can see that point as our WMs have.

And it is too bad that the Publix I go to is making it so difficult for me to check out with q's. I am going to start going to another Publix (for my big shopping trips)that is further away but is coupon-friendly. Well, goodluck to everybody else - have fun using those q's!

When I am floored, I've been known to respond with "either it's correct use of the coupon and you will take it every time or it's incorrect usage of the coupon and you are engaging in coupon fraud by 'allowing it this one time'....which is it?" |

let us not be intimidated to think they are doing us a favor for accepting it "this time only".
