Default Publix: Do you LOVE your Publix store??

I feel bad posting my other thread because it's the first bad experience I've had at a Publix in AGES! So, I wanted to make up for it.

I LOVE my regular Publix store. They are AWESOME! They are very loose in their coupon policy, taking lots of competitor q's, etc.
The Managers and staff are simply, the embodiment of what Publix' Customer Service should be. Friendly, kind, helpful, easy to talk to. I think in this store it is a trickle-down. The Store Manager is a super guy and very smart business man. He understands that by providing good customer service, you bring customers in, and those customers bring in new customers. He doesn't sweat the dollars "lost" in competitor q's because he knows that for every one of me, there's 500 people (more?) that don't ever clip a coupon, and another 500 that only use maybe 10-20$ in q's. He also knows that I recommend that store to EVERYONE I know (which has led to the unfortunate fact that mm's are never in stock, and I have to special order them in, but it doesn't matter to me!)

I was in there today and after my experience at the last Publix, I was humming "Cheers" to myself. LOL. Because they all know me by name- Managers, cashiers, baggers, dairy and frozen and produce, everyone!

I love them, they're super. I drive an hour each way to shop there. I pass several other Publix stores and loads of other grocery stores and super-centers, including Kroger, Food Lion and Super-Wal-Marts that are less than two miles from my house.

Anyone else have Publix they love?

I do! I have the same situation, though not an hour drive. I don't mind going out of my way for better service! CS manager is awesome. She seems to keep the font end in line and everyone doing what they should. Cashiers (for the most part) are incredible and friendly. It really seems like they have fun at work. Everyone makes a big deal over the kids and we have a great time shopping. They all know my son's name, and the bakery people even know their favorite cookies. I think that's especially awesome since I find most bakery employees to be kinda grumpy about the cookie thing at just about every other store around here! My favorite cashier has mentioned how much she likes when I come through because they know my coupons are always fine. (no expireds, I've got everything they're for, nothing scammy going on) I love that they actually pay attention and have gotten that I'm not trying anything wrong. It makes the whole experience so much nicer.

Sadly, there are many "not so wonderful" couponers hitting this store lately and the stock can run low. I suppose it is just a matter of time before they cause my happy, coupon friendly store to get nasty. I hope not though!

I LOVE Publix, in general. but I LOVE my mom's Publix more than mine, because they take Target, rite aid, etc qs. mine only takes traditional grocery store qs.

I have 5 Publix's in about 8 miles from my house. I LOVE 4 of them and one is okay. My Publix's accept Target coupons and some of the managers save coupons for me or tell me they have new coupons out.

I no longer live near a Publix but my Grandma works @ one in Greer, SC (handing out samples). She celebrated her 84th birthday yesterday and is still working! Lol. She LOVES all the customers and their children that come in...... Just in case anyone shops @ that one (Thornblade), Miss Ruby thinks a lot of you guys. ;-)

Anyone have a super coupon friendly Publix in Tampa they would like to share? I am looking for a new one as I have had a few problems at some lately. I LOVE the Publix closest to me in Carrollwood at Dale Mabry and Linebaugh but they are tiny and don't carry certain items like the free Dobie Scrubbers, free Muir Glen, etc, so I sometimes have to branch out.

The store closest to me used to be my favorite but they have now started surpressing the doubling of some coupons and they have always limited rainchecks to only 4 items which is a bummer. Customer service is still great and most of the cashiers don't mind my coupons (a few grumpy cashiers who think it's coming out of their pocket).
Still go to that store but have lately started doing more shopping at a store about 5 miles away. Super friendly staff and great cashiers and will give me 10 items on a raincheck, and have not had any of the cashiers surpress doubling coupons (yet).
Guess I'm lucky to have 2 good stores near me.
I asked about the not doubling the DND 5 and was told it has always been their policy to not double those and it would be just a cashiers oversight if I was lucky enough to get them doubled.

Luckily for me I don't have a store with in 30 minutes of me. I drive at least 40 minutes to any store. Plus we have like 12 stores in my market.

With all this craziness in rules I can swap where I choose to shop. All the stores never go crazy at the same time. So I can shop in one area and when they go crazy - go the other way and shop that part of town for a month of so. Then repeat the process.
Most of the stores have nice employees and will ask where I have been and know my name. LOL

Oh and my 2 absolute favorite stores have went batty at the same time.
    SAD
I will just go to my next 2 favorite stores or speak with the managers again.
