Publix penny q will be in Thursday newspapers

The store I went to yesterday said that they weren't going to always do a penny item, but that sometimes they were going to change it around and do like a $5 off $25 purchase coupon sometimes. This could be good if it is true. They told me it would be on Thursdays. HUMMMM

I haven't asked around Montgomery, but our ad starts on Wednesday, so I assume that it will be in that paper. I'm hoping it will be in my free paper that I get in the mail on Wednesday, but I doubt it. Not sure I will pay for a paper. It is only .50, so maybe I can get it at CVS and use it as a filler or something.

I saw last week's penny coupon in the Thursday AJC. The coupon was ONLY GOOD ON that day, Thursday, January 7th. I contacted Publix by e-mail and was told that this was the way they would be offering the penny item from now on.

I agree, I'm not going to purchase a paper just for the penny coupon when I can only use that coupon that day.

I love publix but this stinks. No way I can get a paper and get to the store on a school night.
