FL stores do not do the penny item. It is one item that Publix chooses to cost a penny with coupon and $10 worth of other groceries. Usually it is only Sunday and Monday, but that must be changing.

If the penny coupon is gonna be in the Wed paper, won't it be in the regular weekly flyer that's at the entrance? Seems it would save publix some monies to not have that little Sunday flyer every week...

My store mgr told me Friday that our area was changing to Wednesday. THe reasons are three (four?) fold - It will also coincide with the senior citizen discount day not to mention saving money on Sunday advertising and encourage people to shop on a less popular shopping day, and not bring people in on the biggest shopping day (which IS a little silly!)
