QUESTION Publix cooking Thanksgiving Dinner....

Anyone ever bought a dinner cooked from Publix before? I've had major surgery and won't be able to do the lifting and such and DH says he can't do it. No family close by either. Thought the price was OK, but hope they let me pick the sides.

Just curious.

TIA,
Ramona

We bought the ham dinner one year for Easter. The ham was good (it was Boar's Head)... The sides were horrible. The mashed potatoes were the worst I have ever had, very gummy. The broccoli cheese rice was gross.
Maybe it was a bad batch. I had better expectations for a meal from Publix.
Get well soon! :)

Thanks! I ordered the Turkey Breast Dinner today. Funny part is the girl said they were out of potatoes, so I just got more dressing. How can they be out of potatoes??? LOL!

Thought I'd post a report of the meal. Seems they got some potatoes in, and for me they were the best part... DH and kids said the turkey was really good, but the dressing was horrible. I was very confused as I thought it all was already cooked, but when we went to 'warm' it up everything had to be cooked an hour or so. Actually took longer than that to get the stuff done, and the turkey produced 2 cups of juice! Now it stated that it was fully cooked, other items did not. So strange. Probably won't do this again, as I told DH cold cuts would've been easier....
