Publix: DND5 ==> Bonus Coupon Suppressed

Not good news on the Publix front. I'm in the LOD, where our BOGO is 50% off and Publix Doubles 50¢ and below Qs... well, maybe not for long, read on....

My office mate is a sometimes couponer and this weekend he had 3 IPs for 4 products each (ie, 12 Qs, but no more than 3 like Qs). His Meridianville, AL receipt showed a Bonus Coupon Suppressed where the double should have been and he was out over $4.

shopperdisguise on SD went further to explain "My favorite cashier (friend outside of Publix as well) let me know today that they were no longer doubling coupons that stated "do not double" on them. She even had a computer print out from corporate explaining this and each cashier had one at their register. It comes up on the reciept as "bonus coupon suppressed". This was in Charleston SC. "

I think it sucks, but what do you think?

I heard about this weekend but it wasn't put through corporate memo then. I hate this and I know this is going to put a dent in savings :sad:

I had a store try this last month.
Haven't been back to that store either.

My local store manager told me today it's about to happen in my store. He has a call in to corporate to verify. I explained to him that the 2 stores less than a mile away still scan and double the .50/1 - since the coupons auto double at those stores.
He will loose business.

My situation is like Tn native regarding the 50% bogo and doubles up to 50.
Don't know about you guys but when Publix has something bogo - I notice it at the competitors within a few weeks. Since the coupons automatically double when scanned, the publix competitors will be getting lots of business around here.

I already started a thread but it got moved to 'Problems with Publix'. Anyhow. This was my last post there.

Went last night. DD had to go pee right then. He told me to take her. Well, I was hesitant. But, I came out and he was paying. The total was $19.xx!!!!! I said, what happened. They surpressed EVERY STINKING coupon. I asked why he didn't say nevermind. He said well, he thought it was a good deal anyhow. The people behind him were asking where he got the coupons. So, I gave up. 2 stores now supress them. I'm getting irritated. Not because they supress them. But, because the manufacturers put them on there. We have to rally or something here. You know P&G listened when couponers rallied (back when our mom/grandmothers were couponing).

O.K. after it is all said in done he is right. It is still a good enough deal, and I am just an under the radar kind of person. I can't take back the food. Oh well.

But, $9.00 in my money went right out the door if ask me.

So now 3/3 don't double. Poo! I just wish they would let me know which of those coupons say DND on them BEFORE I printed them.
