| Re: DND5 ==> Bonus Coupon Suppressed My local store manager called me today about the dnd problems and the promise of couponers saying they would shop where they let them get the double from a dnd.
In my case there are 2 competitors within a mile of this store manager that automatically double the dnd.
I also let him know how all the competitors normally have the same things on bogo.....AT least in my area.
So if the others have it bogo and take the dnd, I don't see publix couponers paying more to shop at publix.
He is allowing us to get the dnd.
His dm approved it because of apparent loss of revenue it will cost them. Says they are corresponding with corp about the loss of revenue this will cost publix.
So speak with your store manager and get the dm's phone number. Email through corp or call.
It does get results.

| Re: DND5 ==> Bonus Coupon Suppressed I agree that feedback does work. It got my Publix to once again take Target coupons (Super Target less than a mile away so it was a silly decision to stop considering them a competitor anyway). It also got my Publix to once again give overages. The first issue (them no longer taking target ips) is what I wrote Publix about and they sent me an email notifying me that they would pass along my concern to the store management. That gone me a phone call from the store manager who told me he was in agreement with me that they are a competitor so he'd take them again. I also took the oppty to bring up overages which were always allowed at the store previously but since he took over (new store mgr), they stopped giving overage. I made my case that they were getting the full coupon value from the manufacterer so only giving me part of it was in my mind stealing from me. He saw my point and agreed to the overages again.
So feedback does make a difference. I try to make sure I have calmed down and don't sound like a raving maniac when I give feedback. That's why I try to not react in the store (as I know I just see red when someone messes with my coupon policy)....but rather stay calm....go home....and write out a thoughtful and compelling letter (preferably a day or so later) making my case. I've been successful with this several times and it's helped build a relationship with the store manager. I only wish they didn't move people around so much....I hate having to break in new management ;-) |

| Re: Bonus Coupon Suppressed Sounds like she did what was her prerogative to do. Doesn't happen much, but I wouldn't complain. You're blessed to have doubles! |

| Re: Bonus Coupon Suppressed The dnd was a big deal on the board last month.
Stores from coast to coast were suppressing the dnd.
Here is one of the 2 threads in publix about it.
I personally complained to my local store - because Winn Dixie and a 2 smaller stores still doubled automatically. So basically publix would lose the couponing business to their competitors........the competitors who were not suppressing their doubles.
I thought it was dump to suppress the double anyway. The store eats the double as an advertising gimmick...per the store manager.
The dnd5 coupons around here are an automatic double.
The cashier actually has to void out the doubled coupon and then press a button to suppress it so it won't double.
Good luck! http://www.hotcouponworld.com/forums...uppressed.html

I was just curious of your thoughts on this!
Thanks! | This happens to me all the time at my Publix, with several different cashiers. My dh likes me to go during the day but that's when the coupon criticizers work. LOL. It takes me forever to check out!! I have had them pull things out of the bagged bags to make sure I got the correct items, supress the bonus on DND's and ring up the coupon items first. It really does stink because I didn't even know about the DNDs on the coupons and had several packs of veggies. Oh well. I'm moving soon so I hope my new Publix is not as picky! |
