Publix-Still Accepting FLIPS???

Here in TN we have Food Lions, so they are accepted.

There are Food Lions in Florida, but my local stores have stopped taking FLIP's. The nearest store will also no longer take the printable $5/20 Save-A-Lot coupons from the website. I was told it was a corporate decision because the coupons state that it is received for joining the Save-A-Lot Smart Shopper Club and Publix doesn't have any membership club programs. They will also only take the Albertsons coupons if Publix carries the exact cut or item the coupon is for, such as St. Louis style ribs, or Petite Sirloin, which my stores don't normally carry. It's getting to be a real hassle to use competitor coupons.

My store also stopped taking them last week - well Havertys at least so I am sure a FLIP won't be accetped either. I was sad.

Here in N. Metro Atlanta, my nearby Publix severely cut down on it's competitor list. No more drug store coupons, no more FLIPs, no more Target coupons, no more Whole Foods coupons. Now there is a Whole Foods within 3 miles and a Super Target within 1 mile. After I sent an email to Publix CHQ telling them that I now shop at Super Target since it's less than one mile away from the Publix and Publix stopped accepting their coupons, the store manager contacted me and told me he would accept Target coupons again. But no Whole Foods....so now I shop at the other Publix which accepts both Target and Whole Foods. I understand the FLIPs as there is no nearby Food Lion and I can understand the Drug Store coupons can cost them a lot.

Mine told me today no more $/$$ (like $2/$10)......

I don't ever use FLIPS anyway, and I don't use the $/$$ either - but she told me anyway because she knows I use alot of coupons.
