For those whose Publix take competitors coupons update

I got the Home Depot coupon in my e-mail that maybe some of you did also.It appears to read $3 off any Glade trash bags.
Here is my question. I have never tried Home Depot as a competitor, have any of you? Do you think it too much of a stretch?
I have a good relationship with my Publix and most of them are great about Q's, on the other hand i could use the Q at Home Depot
Any thoughts?

IMHO...It doesn't hurt to try BUT you might be risking your relationship with Publix...
They are so good to take all those q's already I would hate for them to get fed up with it all and just say NADA!
It seems all them play by their own rules. So... Don't know?

My thought is that my Publix would not consider Home Depot a competitor. While there are some products that both stores sell, I'm thinking Publix would not lose you as a customer to Home Depot (like they might to Kroger, Albies, etc.) so there is not that much incentive to consider them a competitor and accept their store coupons. But there are some store managers who have the philosophy of "we'll take anyone's coupons" so it might work at those stores. I would see no harm in asking the front desk when I arrive so I know ahead of time....or calling ahead. Can't see asking resulting in them getting fed up....but I know some stores are not nearly as coupon friendly as others.

I agree with the others you should ask at customer service. My store just changed their policy. The supposed story: Cashier took Steinmart and Learners coupons for $$ off $$$- so management at this store has cracked down on coupons. I Have to wonder though if customer presenting coupons and cashier weren't buddies- because i can't imagine any cashier I have ever dealt with at this store ever actually believing that Steinmart or Learners could or would be a competitor.

my publix's rule is that it has to be a comparable supermarket- like target, winndixie, food lion, etc. no wags or cvs or homedepot for that matter! Lol- it would be so nice, but they are already fabulous with q's so i'm not pressing my luck!

My Publix doesn't consider anything other than supermarkets to be competitors. That means Winn Dixie here. Maybe Sweetbay and Save a Lot too; I haven't asked about those.

My publix in spartanburg use to take cvs,wags but stopped a couple of months ago and they say that there is a $5/25 printable from save-a-lot website I can print that they will take but I have never found it.Anyone ever use those??

My Publix took it no problem! I got it when I registered with the site and sign up for their baby club too. I got a BUNCH of coupons in the mail for baby stuff and a $5/$10!

Is there anyone in the orlando (specifically close to DW) that shops at a Publix and knows what is considered their competitors? We will be vacationing the end of October and I want to be prepared with any extra I can get....thx so much!
