Default newbie question: Publix stores in North Atlanta??

Hi! I have been couponing since January, and I have just moved to the north ATL area and was wondering if you experienced couponers from this area could tell me the "coupon friendly" Publix stores? I live in the Akers Mill and Cumberland Blvd area, so stores near there would be great!

Thanks!

Welcome....I am in Johns Creek area....too far for you to go for a coupon friendly Publix but I know there are others in your area here and I am sure they will chime in.

Welcome to the area! I live up in Kennesaw- so a bit far for you- but the Barret Pkwy store (prob 20 mins for you) is a coupon friendly store. I have a friend in your area so I will pass on the info request- she should hopefully have more valuable suggestions :)

Okay- I checked with a friend and she shops at 2 publixes - Delk Spectrum SC
2900 Delk Rd SE Ste 1150
Marietta, GA 30067-5320

and Highland Station
4480 S Cobb Dr SE
Smyrna, GA 30080-6990

She has never tried using both Target Qs and Manu Qs at either store but she has used Target Qs with no issue at the Highland store and has had no other problems using her Qs. She does ot get the paper at all so most of her Qs are from within the store or IPS

HTH

I'm not sure about that specific area, but I'm in Gwinnett and I can say that I have been to probably 7 different Publix's in the area here and used Target and Food Lion q's as competitors and have never had a problem at any of them. There isn't a single Publix that I have been to that I've ever had an issue with...so maybe it is that way there too! Good luck!

Thanks kethry70 and GaPeach76!! I actually have never used Target Q's at Publix because I am a little too chicken to try:) I typically just use man. Q's and sometimes stack with a Publix store Q, so all of the info about stores ya'll have given me is very helpful! Now if someone will tell me how to do the "rep" thing, I can rep you both:)

There is a little scales icon (though it looks more like lab bottles to me :P) on the left under our names- on the bottom of our member info. You click on that and a little pop-up box appears that allows you to "approve" or disapprove". HTH and glad we were able to help

Paces Ferry Road in Vinings is a FANTASTIC store. I have to give a little plug to their Black Beans and Rice they make at lunch time. That is probably the best Publix in all of Atlanta (I drive a ton for work around the metro area so i've seen a ton of them). That one would be very close to you. If I ever hear of a coupon booklet being put out I make a point to stop there because they usually have them!

Highlands Station in Smyrna is a great store and close to you. They do not accept Target coupons according to the store manager, but do accept Food Lion. I shop there three times a week and have written complimentary letters to Publix corporate about the great all-around service I receive at that store. The Publix on South Cobb further north (past Windy Hill Road) is also convenient for you. They accept Target and Food Lion coupons. However, that store is located in a high crime area, and I'd suggest you go only during the day.
Unfortunately I've had terrible experiences with couponing at the Vinings Publix. Every time I've gone in there the customer service person has to come up and show the cashier how to enter in competitor coupons. It's also really difficult to get in and out of that store's parking lot during the day because of the many corporate offices and the corporate Home Depot store in the immediate area.
Never fear! You'll find one that you feel comfortable with. I'd suggest you get to know the staff at your store. I am a public librarian in the area and always try to help out the cashiers/baggers (particularly the kids that work there) with any assignments they have for school.
So that's my 2 cents. Have fun with it. Life is short.
Ruth
