Wow, I just registered and there are dozens of blood drives within fifteen minutes of my home. I've never donated blood before although I am on the national bone marrow registry. I don't know if I can make it to one before the end of July though.

In the post it states for the month of July, but in the fine print on this site it states offer valid from June 1- June 30. I wonder if it is a typo? I would love to do this!

I donate for them all the time when they come to my work. It's a great way to help others and get a free cholesterol and iron check. It's also good if you have a high platelet count. I know someone whose count was so high that he either had to donate blood often or take injectable medicine so he wouldn't throw blood clots - which do you think he chose?!

I will definitely look into this since I normally do it anyway!

none listed for clay county either...but i think i know where a blood bank is near here ...i may just stop in and see.. i have never donated blood either..but recently was a stem cell donor and they took all my blood out and gleaned plasma and stem cells then returned it ..kinda like dialysis but it wasn't bad.. worst thing was giving myself the shots twice a day for 4 days. so i think i can do this now... was always scared before,, i HATE needles... wah wah wah....
