Wiggum- it was actually a manager at the wade green publix that told me the pubix beef was good for 3 days past the sell by date... He used to work at the baker road publix, and knows us well enough for me to tell him why we switched which Publix we shopped at... (he may have been trying to make me feel better since I felt like I almost poisoned my family, he knows I have kids). He did however say that meat should never be sold past the sell by date, and did apologize for the other location... Another manager overheard the conversation, and said they were sorry for my problems with the other Publix- but they welcome my business at their location...

That is very interesting about beef going into the grinder w/in 2 days of the sell by date... I am coming to the conclusion that Publix is going thru severe issues right now... The restrooms are often dirty, water fountains are grody (spouts are hairy). I hope they get their act together soon... Competition is good for all of us... The Kroger near me, has done a 180 and is even better than Publix used to be (and is slamming busy 24/7).

Sadly, I don't have time to keep complaining when it gets me nowhere... My $'s should be speaking for me, when it comes to communicating w/ Publix... They have lost over $500/month, just from me, over the past yr... used to be, 10% of my shopping was done at kroger, and 90% at publix...Now, only 10% at publix, and 90% at kroger...
