Bessemer/McCalla Publix

I hope it's okay to post since it probably affects only a few here but has anyone had trouble using Target q's at this location? I shop there every week and almost always use a Target q-my sister told me tonight that the management there told her they will not be accepting any more Target, CVS etc only Food World, Brunos(which are conveniently closing!). I guess I'm preparing for a fight since Target is about a 3 minute walk from there and they sell groceries!
I just used some Target q's the other day and I was wondering if anyone had trouble using them there. Thanks in advance

I was in there a couple of weeks ago and the manager told me the same thing.
He also said that they now had a 6 item limit on coupons with the bogos. I was so disappointed because that has always been my fav store. I have used target coupons there many times. He said they were doing the same at all the area stores. I sure hope they don't enforce it everywhere. My dh was able to get 9 of the electrosol tonight though and they didn't say anything.

Sorry to change locations on you, but has anyone been able to use the Target qs in the Alabaster, Helena, Pelham area? We have a Target, but it is not a Super Target. It does sell groceries though.

:sad:I love it too and they have always been so willing to take anything. I'm going to try to get some free Ritz tomorrow-we'll see...

My SIL goes to Alabaster and they cracked down on her last week-no Food Lion, no Target.

I stopped in at my favorite Publix - and they also said no more CVS (which I didn't use anyways), Target, Walgreens, or any other drugstore or non-grocery store competitors coupons. Grocery stores only.

I'm okay with that. I would like it if they kept the Target because there is none right in town near them. But it is okay. The store is such a wonderful place to shop that I'm willing to abide by that in order for them to continue to accept grocery competitors coupons.

I shop the McCalla store and have never had a problem with any qs including Target.. I used some this past Sunday and nothing was said.. so I guess it depends on your cashier..?

I have had one good experience and one bad at this store. I live in Helena, so that is the store that I normally shop. I have had a couple of bad experiences there lately as well. I am thinking of trying the one on 150 this week because of this.

I have not tried a Target coupon there, but did use a FoodWorld $/$$ coupon 2 weeks ago. I'm still fairly new to the area, and have only shopped there twice, so I don't have too much experience to add to the pot. I used to be an avid Target shopper in Tuscaloosa before we moved to Lakeview/McCalla. I think when the SuperTarget on exit 10 of 459 opens, I might run out there to get the Target deals & steals... I know they'll accept the Target Q's!!

By the way- it is Bessemer or is it McCalla? It's like one half of the exit is Bessemer and the other half is McCalla- it's crazy!

The Northport Publix has recently stopped accepting Target coupons as well....the manager said that this is from corporate?

Okay, I tried to use the Target Ritz today and they said no. The cashier was very apologetic and kind and he stated that it came from corporate. He said "People have been bringing all kinds of coupons in here like Food Lion-I've never even heard of that!" and I almost giggled. I've never tried a Food Lion q there because I thought that was stretching it. I was really disappointed-he said they would take WinnDixie or Piggly Wiggly, but only nearby, neighborhood grocery stores. Thanks for all your feedback and hopefully this will help someone else

ps-My address is Bessemer and I live near Coleman Lakes so who knows! I think it's techinically called "Tannehill Publix".
