PUBLIX: Discover Publix. Buy Brand, Get Publix Free

I was looking through the online ad for my store (which covers Orange, Seminole, Brevard, Duval, Clay, Nassau, Marion, Volusia, Alachua, Flagler, Columbia, St. Johns and Putnam Counties in FL) and saw something I have not seen in a while...Discover Publix Brand. The following items are included in this promotion which lasts only this week:
Ragu Pasta Sauce, Kraft BBQ Sauce, and Gulden's Mustard. I can not tell the sizes, so if anyone has been by Publix yet this week and see's them. Would appreciate it if they could post sizes and prices if they notice. Thanks in Advance

Publix mentions this in one of the rotating images on their home page.

The online flyer for Atlanta has it too, on a "bonus" page 18. The "bonus" page 17 looks like what will be the cover of the 4-page over-wrap flyer in Sunday's paper. I suspect that the back page will be the same as page 18.

Publix ran this "Store Brand Challange" for two weeks last April, June, and August. Here are threads from August 14–20 and August 21-27.

When they ran this previously, Publix's web site had a page for these deals, and they'll probably do it again this time. Keep an eye on this page: www.publix.com/publixbrand

Thanks! I thought I had seen this before at Publix! But I wasn't sure of how long ago. I do not believe we get an addt'l ad in the Sunday paper.

My store in Tampa (Hillsborough county) didn't have anything in the flyer, but when I was in yesterday, there were signs on the shelves about this. The one I noticed was: buy a jar of Ragu, get a jar of Publix spaghetti sauce free.

Just a heads up for those buying these items....the Publix brand items do not automatically deduct when you buy the name brand item so you have to prompt the cashier to deduct them manually if they aren't aware to do it.

My North AL ad has it also, but I noticed that there wasn't a Penny Item Q. Do they usually stop that promo when this promo is running?

Same thing in Pinellas. The items were Kraft BBQ, Some kind of brown mustard, and Ragu.

No they don't deduct, you have to watch for it.

GRRRR--I would love to take advantage of this deal, but of course my county is not included. I think they just take a pencil and draw a circle around the middle of the state and count us out. I don't get it, we are in the middle of Orange and Marion County-lol. I will have to see if they will be doing these next week in the stores for us.

When they've run the Store Brand Challenge promotions in the past, the Mystery Coupon was still offered too.

Is the ad you're talking about the 4-page insert that many people get in their Sunday paper (wrapped around a copy of the normal 12- or 16-page weekly ad)?

A couple of weeks ago the coupon was in section A of our Sunday paper (Atlanta) instead of on the overwrap flyer.

If you can see the picture on the home page (you might need to refresh the page several times for it to come up in the rotation), then you should be able to tell the store that 'they're advertising it.' Or did a manager say they're not participating?
