I found the Future Friendly ad and the Green Advantage March into savings at the Orange City store tonight.

The Northgate Publix (DeLand, on International Speedway Blvd) rocks when it comes to the booklets.

I can almost always find a booklet within two days of seeing it in the main Publix forum.

Some of them go really fast though. I got the last Future coupon sheet last week. (It was the only one I had seen, ever.)

Yeah, we've had the NJ/Sentinel debate. I run out on Sunday and blow my $3 on two Sentinels, then I hit Walgreens or Wal Mart on Tuesday for few NJs (if there were good coupons.)

I like the Sunday paper, because I do all of my shopping for the week on Sunday. Some deals I really need a Q or two for. And, well, I used to buy one of each, but then I'd be working on my grocery list, and I'd be like "Yeah! I can't believe it's not butter! Gonna be 80 cents for two. Happy Dance!" and there wouldn't be the "I can't Believe" Q in the Journal.

Sounds lame, but man, when I'm excited about a deal, I get so bummed over a 40 cents butter Q that it's disgusting.

After beating my head against the wall a few times for scenarios such as this, I just buy Sunday Sentinels. NJs are suppliments.

    * * *

So, I'm thinking one of my friends used to do scrapbook parties. You bring your pictures and organize them by year, drink margaritas, eat pizza rolls and tell your kids to go eat cheesy poofs and watch Barney.

I'm thinking that sounds like great fun with coupons.

I'm still afraid of trading, and I totally don't have a handle on my coupons. So I'm missing a lot, and I'm wasting a lot.

I don't have a real binder. I have binder I throw my inserts in. It's a foot thick. No organization.

Then I have the pink coupon accordian. Which only gets sporadic coupons because the binder with the 10 zillion inserts intimidates me.

Then I have the bin with the extras. And I have the folder with the printables. And...well, every surface of my life has a coupon stuck to it somewhere.

I'm missing a lot of deals because I only take the Qs I have a list for, because the rest aren't well organized and I can't take them with me.

I'm feeling ambitious, I'll start to clip an insert and realize everything in it is expired.

So, if anyone is ever down with an "every-other-month" coupon party, to organize and trade coupons let me know. (Have blender-can travel!)

I Know that feeling! Hate that when I get into the store and find clearance, may not have the coupon for it with me. Really hate when I figure upon a deal and find out that NJ does not have the Q.My house had almost turned into a newpaper haven, felt like I was going to become one of those people with stacks of newspaper & only paths to walk through! I try not to bring the papers into the house anymore, at least no more than one of the current ones.(wont discuss my car LOL) Grab all the Q inserts out and bring them in. I label the front of them with the date and DB or OS for the paper it came out of And when I put them into my have or keep list, may make a note of the paper also so I know where to find it. I keep my inserts in a box, cutting out only those I will use in the next few weeks (if I know) and only those I know that others in my family will need. This way when a deal does come up and they list the insert that the coupon is in, I can just go into the box, go down to the date and pull those inserts and check for Qs. Then they go back to the box. In some ways...takes a little longer, in other ways, saves time of not cutting out all the coupons every week. Printables end up next to my computer and get cut out when I have time while watching TV or something and go directly into coupon accordian as does blinkies etc. When the inserts and/or IPs & blinkies have expired, can either trade expireds or send them off to families on military bases that can use expired coupons at their commissaries.

I think that is a great idea! Would be great to be able to set up some sort of Volusia Couponing Bi-Monthly Group meeting or party!!! My house can not accomodate a group, but perhaps we can set something up at the library or a restaurant during non peek hours?

Was also up in Ormond and found a Take Heart sheet at winn dixie with a bunch of Coke,Nestea/Minutemaid ,Tylenol, St Joseph aspirin, and Viactiv Coupons on it. Howdy!!

Count me in- I'm also in the Port Orange area. I frequent the Dunlawton/Nova store, as well as the South Daytona store on Ridgewood. Lately I have had no success finding the books or blinkies... I must be going too late, lol! I should know better, too, as I have been working the Publix deals for a few years now.

cheers to all, and thanks PinkSink for starting this thread :)

    Welcome!!!
Well...if we all pitch in when we see the books and such, we'll all benefit from knowing when they are all out there!
Have not been to the South Daytona Ridgewood store. Keep forgetting about that one, probably since I hate going on US1 (and A1A), especially during event season.

I know that this is a Publix board, but do not forget about the other stores ads and booklets, especially if you go to a Publix that accepts their coupons as a Competitors. For those whose Publix does....There is a thread with FLIPs in this Publix forum. Also, Check out Food Lion for a Health & Wellness Booklet with some really good coupons!Veena told me that the Clyde Morris Port Orange Food Lion had them in when she was there. Have not gotten up there myself yet, with DS home from school.
Also, not the Winn Dixie sheet of coupons that I listed in my previous post. Every little bit helps!
At the Dunlawton PO store I found Kelloggs Raisin Bran Extra 14 oz box on sale for $2.99 (listing adv buy savings of $1.50) ....
    used a $1/1 Q 02-22-09 RP
It also has a TMF mail in rebate form inside.
So after MIR and cost of stamp...will have MM of 58 cents

    HTH!

Stopped in Ormond on Tues and they removed all the Live well feel beautiful tearpads from throughout the store. Westport in Port Orange was having problems with their crest coupons and I was told that they would treat them as expired if the codes did not go through in the future, whether or not they were not expired...She stated that "upstairs" is really cracking down on the cashiers and they had 3 people in earlier that day with counterfeit coupons.
Have not really done a real shop the past couple of weeks,(lots going on here), but I have noticed something and am wondering if it is just me...
Have been to 3 publix...and have notice that they seem to be pulling back the coupon/booklets other than the yellow and green advantage booklets.
Are your publix limiting the coupons they are putting out?
Are you seeing any of these new booklets or coupons that are appearing on the Publix thread? If so, which stores???
    TIA!

I know that when I asked my store about a certain booklet/ad they were supposed to have they told me that they got one box at the beginning and that it went pretty fast. They never got any more. I know that I will probably get hateful responses but.... If people grab HANDFULS of the fliers then after just a few people there are none left for everyone else. I don't have a problem if someone takes two or three but I know that some go way above that. A little bit of common courtesy goes a long way in these types of situations.

I've been trying to restrict my shopping also these last few weeks, but I have stopped in to a few (Ormond & Port Orange) for a few items, and I see nothing new out at all.

Still a bit crazy here. So no real shop. In fact have only just gotten to see this week's ad.
Did a quick Tuesday romp through Ormond Town Square store & picked up this week's NJ. Nothing to speak of in the way of Qs or booklets at this location. Did have Rubbermaid see through totes and laundry baskets that looked like someone cut the height in half. Were roughly $2.75 and $3 respectively. Also had other smaller rubbermaid things like drawer organizer (fit pencils or such) not really sure what the other stuff was.
Did not get them because I :::GASP:::: did not have my coupons with me. I recalled seeing rubbermaid Qs somewhere.
    According to DB:
Rubbermaid tote any or clear tote 12 quart or larger $1.00/1

If I am up there again this week, will pick 1 or 2 up if there are any left.

Ran into Westport Sunday and quickly grabbed stuff for dinner...no Q/booklets there either. This area seems to be drying up.
