SAD Thanks all. It's been fun...No more Publix for me

 We've officially relocated... To a tiny little town near just about nothing. I did my last Publix run and the movers had to box up tons of stockpiled stuff. Maybe I'll get a chance to start using it now...

Just wanted to say I'll miss all the great tips I got from this forum (well, and all the BOGOs, too ).

Good luck, and I'll see you in the WalMart forum.
I hear that Kroger is a good store. :)

Ohhhh I feel your pain....I moved from a city that had about 5 Publix (one almost across the street) to a small town that has no Publix. But at least I can drive 45 minutes and get to one. I go about twice a month. I really appreciate it now though!

I too feel your pain and will be in your camp in a few months.
I will be moving 45 miles from the nearest Publix . This town I'm moving to has a Super Walmart, Dollar General, Ingles and Bilo. The nearest Kroger is about 17 miles down the road.
Where I currently live , I can honestly throw a soft ball and hit the roof of my beloved Publix .
It will be so worth it to have husband employed in a steady job but I will be crying as I wave good bye to my Publix:missu1:

I am sorry you have to move, but think of it as a challenge to learn all the coupon rules to your new primary grocery store after your move. After you become an expert you can train others in your area.

Wishing you the best of luck!!!

I'm sorry you're losing Publix!

I know Kroger is a great grocery store with lots of good deals. The kroger forums are very active here at HCW. I wish I had one in my town (to add to Publix and Harris Teeter)!

I also have to say goodbye to Publix. I really loved this store and all the great deals and customer service I've experienced there. My husband gets back from Texas in two weeks and his orders are that we'll be relocated to Montana. It looks like our closest shopping will be in the Great Falls area. So in a three weeks I will be leaving Publix, my family and friends here, and Florida behind. Only a month after we get there we'll be having our first baby, so many adjustments. :hectic1:
