Please read concerning use of competitor and store coupons at Publix [This shouldn't be news to any of our regular readers. I'm just condensing a few stickies.]
Please watch the verbiage on all coupons and use them accordingly. This includes competitor and store coupons. While the store manager has the final say on Publix and competitor coupon acceptance, if he/she allows something counter to the restrictions on the coupon, we do not allow it to be posted here on HCW. "not to exceed purchase price": This wording is popping up on more and more Publix coupons. This means no overage. If you buy a lower priced item, the cashier needs to adjust the value of the coupon. Please refrain from posting about using these coupons and getting overage. "may not be used in conjunction with any other coupon": Many Publix stores interpret this to mean any other PUBLIX coupon. You may discuss using these Publix coupons in conjunction with manufacturer coupons. Food Lion printables (FLIPs): The verbiage on FLIPs is quite restrictive (e.g. "one per transaction, per person, per day") and should be followed. Target coupons: Most Target printable coupons now state, "Limit one offer per transaction". Only one of a given coupon may be used per transaction. $X/$Y coupons: Many competitors put out coupons for $X off a $Y purchase. Usually, the $Y threshold is calculated before tax and coupons. However, if the coupon specifically states that the $Y purchase is after coupons, then that is the rule when using it as a competitor coupon at Publix.
