Am I Wrong? I went into Publix today and bought 5 Glade candles, 1 CG foundation (rang up as $3.99), and 1 face product (rang up as $4.99). I used 5 $1 MF coupons and a $5 Publix coupon for the Glade (making them free) and then I used a $2.50 Publix coupon and the BOGO coupon on the CG products. The BOGO coupon wouldn't go through without manager approval, but when the manager came over she wouldn't put it through without "calculating" how much to take off. I told her it should take off $4.99 for the face product, since the coupon said "Buy a foundation get a free face product". She only wanted to put it through for $2.49 b/c she subtracted the $2.50 from the price of the face product, not the foundation. She made the comment "I'm don't see what the problem is. You're getting practically everything for free." To which I replied "That's the whole point and why I use coupons, so I can catch good deals like this." She finally put it through for $4.99 so she didn't have to argue with me.
She made me feel like I was committing coupon fraud or something. Did she just leave me with a bad taste in my mouth or am I truly interpreting the coupon policy wrong?
