Scenarios for the $5 off 5 SC Johnson Publix q -- expires 12/27/08

Well, I was happy to get a raincheck BUT none of the Huntsville area stores (I haven't been out to Winchester Road or the Southern Publix at Mountain Gap) seem to have any of the seasonal scents (glistening snow, cinnamon gingerbread, etc), and only have what's on the shelf normally.

I'm trying to put together some last minute (to me) gift baskets that include candles, but I WANTED them to be more with the season.

Well, I punted today. I did find a few seasonal scents and went ahead and got my raincheck's worth before the $5 coupon expired. I also went ahead and bought scented oil warmer refills for the baskets I'm putting together, to go with the free warmers I bought at walmart.

My house smells funny. I haven't had this much GLADE in the house EVER.

I just scored 5 glade sprays (french vanilla and apple cinnamon) on clearance tonight at 2 for 1.39. MM for me

I finally did the deal today. I ended up getting 1 of the Glade Scented Oil candle holders, 2 of the Glade regular/2 in 1 candles, and 2 Oust sprays. Beginning price for all was $15.75. After coupons (including the $5 Publix), I paid $2.86 plus tax. Not bad without really trying. :)

Ziploc Holiday Containers are on sale for half price at my Publix. Here is what I did:

5 Ziploc holiday containers - 1.50 each = 7.50
minus 1.50/2 ziploc q x 12/27
minus 2.00/3 Ziploc q from winter family savings
minus 5.00/5 SC Johnson Publix q

= 1.00 overage

They also had Ziploc holiday bags on sale.

The bogo coupons are Buy the Pledge Duster Starter Kit and Get a Refill Pack free.

This ended up being a GREAT deal, as the refill pack still COUNTS for the 5 SC Johnson items, so instead of getting the starter kit for $2.99, it is like getting them for 99 cents, as I've applied the $1 per item for the refill pack (already free) towards the starter kit price and the 5 SC Johnson gives you $1 off the starter kit already.

I only had two coupons and those did not come in the Huntsville paper, but papers in Spring Hill, TN instead.

On the Holiday ziploc containers, my store did not have them reduced. They could have been, but there was no sign and I didn't price check it. tn_native

The Glade 4 oz. jar candles were on clearance at my store for 1.25 each. This could be great with the coupon! I did not have any left, but I did get them for .25 each with $1 coupon from the Winter savings booklet!

I am so thrilled - I finally used up my last SC Johnson $5/5 coupon tonight!!!! What a great coupon!!!

I started with about 100 of them so my stockpile has a huge surplus of Glade products and my coupon box has a bunch of B2G1 Glade coupons too!
Hope everyone had as much fun as I did with this coupon!

Ok maybe that's what it is because I get the sentinel also and all I got in there was $5 off of 5 SCJ products (by the way this is working out great for me) but the other one that they are talking about by a pledge get free refill or something like that I didn't get that one. I'm confused :frown:

I got the orlando sentinel and the Daytona News journal and the only two coupons were : 1- $5 off 5 SC Publix Q and 1- BOGO Oust Manf Q.
I went nuts when this first came out looking for all the coupons without realizing that this area seemed to just get those two instead of the others.

Was hoping to pick up the pledge starter kit, so will be using $1.50 Blinkie I found in my coupon holder.
