Don't Forget Your Rainchecks

Just a reminder if you have rainchecks stored up. Be sure to go thru them regularly as I almost missed a spectacular deal!

This week Frosted Flakes 14 oz. are on sale for $1.99.

I had coupons for $1/1 from 11/09/08 inserts but $.99 is still too much to pay for a small box of cereal.

Then it dawned on me to check my rainchecks. I had a raincheck on 10 BOGO deals on 14 oz. Frosted Flakes.

So I got 20 boxes of Frosted Flakes (they had a massive amount).

20 X $2 = $40
Less BOGO Raincheck - $20 = $20
Used 7 $1/1 = -$7 = $13
Used 13 $.75/1 peelies found on boxes on endcap = -$9.75 = $3.25

So I ended up paying $3.25 for 20 boxes of Frosted Flakes = less than $.17 a box. Wish I had had more of the $1/1 with me.


I also used a $10/$50 from Winn Dixie which further reduced the price of the cereal.

My store writes the rainchecks with the prices "BOGO @ $x.xx" Those smarties.

Every once in awhile they do it on mine & most of the time I would like that - imagine a 10 year old raincheck! I have quite a stack that are 2 years old.
