Concerning Competitor Coupons (spoke with CR) I contacted consumer relations this morning to get a definite answer to whether or not Publix accepts competitor coupons such as Target, Walgreens, and so forth. Consumer Relations told me that the Publix policy across the board is to accept competitor coupons BUT it's up to the District Manager to decide for each area what is considered competitor. They are expected to accept ALL grocery store competitor coupons but for things such as Super Target/Target, CVS, Walgreens, Walmart and the like, they are not acceptable unless you here it from the mouth of the District Manager.
It's frustrating because you don't know whether or not your committing coupon fraud unless you here the policy from the mouth of your district mananger. The Consumer Relations did say that you can contact them via phone (800-242-1227) or email them using the form on Publix's website and they will forward your question on to the District Manager who will then call and discuss with you personally about what they accept.
It can't hurt, I contacted Publix via email only to have the District Manager call me the next day and give me their policy, then the day after that the store manager called and just wanted to follow up and offer me a Publix Gift Card for my patronage of their store. I got a free $20 gift card just for a polite inquiry, though your experience may vary. :-)
