I'm in Huntsville, AL and can't find the penny item coupon in the paper (come to think of it, I couldn't find it last week either) :( Does anyone know where it is or if it has been discontinued in our area?

The coupon was in a Publix flyer in my paper. They never ask for my coupon at my store which is very ymmv per my friend that always has to have her's at her store. Mine was TP this week.

I'm in Huntsville too and it was on the Publix insert in the Sunday Paper. If your paper didn't have one, check the turnstile thingy at the store. Last week was the same. HTH

The coupon is always on a Sunday-paper-only 4-page flyer (listing this week's BOGO items) wrapped around a copy of the normal, 12– or 16–page weekly flyer. Unfortunately, the overwrap flyer never appears on the Publix carousels (last week the stores and newspapers had a "bonus" flyer they run every so often).

Occasionally the newspaper folks mess up and leave things out. You might be missing other inserts too (or even coupon inserts ).

In more than a year Publix has never skipped a week putting these in the paper, so you might call your newspaper's circulation dept. to see about getting a replacement (although there's usually a cutoff time — in Atlanta I think it's 2pm on Sundays). At this point, they may not bring you a replacement, but they might be willing to let you stop by on Monday to pick one up yourself.

You could also check with a friend or coworker from somewhere else in town to look at their paper.

But as auntsashie said, many (most?) stores don't require the coupon. If your store does, I'm sure if you explain your situation the manager will help you out (might even give you a free copy of the Sunday paper on Monday).
