Two liter Publix Soda in B'ham, AL (my store had Orange Soda, Ginger Ale, Cola, etc...some diet varieties in there too).

Our Publix will NOT let you have the penny item without the coupon. The store manager won't allow it, even with established customers. One time, I bought a paper from them that didn't have the Publix insert and they still wouldn't let me have the penny item (opened paper in front of them, paid for at same time as other items) However, my parents live a couple of hours away and their store never takes a coupon. I guess it depends on the manager.

I'm going to Publix this afternoon hopefully and will definitely let everyone know what penny item I pick up in Upstate, SC. Would anyone happen to know the limit of the penny item coupon?

I asked last time I was there If I could get the penny item w/out the coupon. The cashier said "No that corporate office told them they were no longer able to do it." Kinda ticked me off because I spent a bunch but oh well.

Also Publix soda, 2 liter bottle, asst. flavors (at a store in north Atlanta).

In the 2/15 Atlanta newspaper, the Mystery Coupon is in the "usual" place (4-page flyer listing "essentials" on the cover, and this week's BOGO items inside, wrapped around this week's 16–page flyer/insert). As mentioned above, there's also a printable coupon on a "bonus" page 17 in the online ad at specials.publix.com.

As always, YMMV. Look for the "Mystery Coupon" sign/display at your store, or ask any employee.

While many of the stores near me continue to be relaxed about needing the Mystery Coupon, a handful now do require it. It was obviously a change passed down from management — when I'd ask what/where the item was as I was first walking into the store, the employee would make a point of adding "and you need to be sure you have the coupon."

my stores wont let me use this coupon they say its not valid but, mabye someone elses will.

I noticed today the 2 liters were marked with the mystery item sign (10 minimum purchase and coupon)but the "and coupon" part of the sign was marked out with black marker.

I was kinda bummed at the publix soda - I had DH with me, so we each did some shoppinga nd had a penny coupon...would have been a good week for something bigger for me LOL!! Oh well, soda doesn't last long in this house anyways ;)
