What's a good "stock-up" price on Muir Glen?
We just got a new Publix here and they are the only store in the area that carries Muir Glen products. I noticed the canned tomatoes were on sale for 3/$4 this week (opening week). I'm wondering if that's a good price or do they often go on sale cheaper than that. I have the $1 qs and I don't really need tomatoes now so I could easily wait if they might go on sale cheaper. Anybody know? Oh and I should mention, I'm in the dreaded Florida Market
TIA!

I'm in GA and they have been 3/$4 for at least the last 2-3 weeks.

A while back they were on clearance at Kroger free for the whole peeled tomatoes, but lately the only freebie is the little can of tomato sauce. It's a great coupon compared to a lot of organic ones.

Re: What's a good "stock-up" price on Muir Glen?
I'm in the Florida market as well. The tomatoes have been that price for a couple of weeks here too. I've been using these coupons everytime I go. I sometimes get the two small cans of tomato sauce(.85). If I have the Publix "store" coupon that was in the October Greenwise magazine ($1.00 off two Muir Glen Products) I'll get the two large cans 28 oz of Fire Roasted tomatoes ($1.75) which are twice the size of the cans that are 3/$4.00 (14.5 oz). So depending on the coupons that you have and whether you want the tomatoes or overage, you'll have to decide. Personally, I would suggest you get the Fire Roasted ones, they taste much better.
P.S. I'm lucky the store I go to put out xerox copies of the store coupon since they ran out of the October Magazine!
They said they were trying to boost the sales of their Greenwise section. The CS staff didn't think other stores would take them. :frown:

Re: What's a good "stock-up" price on Muir Glen?
I've bought six cans of the dice tomatoes over the past few weeks and each time they were 3 for $4. I used $1/1 MFR Q on each can, and the Publix Q for $1/2. I believe it gave me a few cents overage. The only problem is you can only buy two at a time, because the store coupon says something about 1 per transaction or 1 per customer or something like that.

Re: What's a good "stock-up" price on Muir Glen?
I just got 10 cans for 0.08 each. I have the $1/2 store coupon and $0.75/1 MF. Since they are $4.00/3 that makes them $1.33 each and with coupons it comes to $0.08 per can. I'm hoping to get 10 more next week since the advantage buy runs out on the 7th.

Free. Advantage buy 3/$4, $1/1 manu, $1/2 Publix. I agree the fire roast are the bomb. My DH and DS said the pot of chili I made earlier this week was 'the best ever'. Both were very disappointed it went so quickly!
