Default re: Publix ~ Ad 10/8/08 -10/14/08 (10/9/08-10/15/08 in some areas)

Does anyone know if there are any great deals when combining coupons from 10/12 with the current ad? I haven't had time to go through and try to match them up ... but wondered if anyone else had noticed anything.

THANKS!
Elaine

The Clorox Cleaners at my store(Pace, FL) started at $2.99 each. I got 2 Hard Surface cleaners and 1 wipes. So, my deal was:

$2.99x2(for Hard surface cleaners)+Free Wipes Q=$5.98-.50printable q x2=$4.98-$3 Publix Q=$1.98 for 2 Hard Surface and wipes.

Good deal for us!

My Publix $3 coupon was for Clorox products-was yours for Lysol products?

About the Baby CLub coupon ----- I have a ?

Q is Buy 1 Huggies Pk (any size) get Wipes for free
if I have a coupon for Huggies and For the Wipes - can I use both to take $$ off the total

The other part is a deal they have with buy Huggies + Gerber food and get $5.00 off total. Would that work with coupons for all 3 and get free wipes ?

Diapers
Wipes
Gerber Baby food
- $5.00 deal from store
- $1.50 Huggies Q
- $1.00 wipes Q
- $.75 Gerber Q
- free wipes

I hope that all makes sense to someone out there that can help!!!

It's going to depend on the store. You could argue:

Diapers
Wipes
Gerber Baby food
- $5.00 store coupon applied to diapers and Gerber
- free wipes store coupon applied to wipes, based on purchase of diapers
- $1.50 Huggies manufacturer Q
- $1.00 wipes manufacturer Q
- $.75 Gerber manufacturer Q

It's up to the store to decide if that usage is allowed. They may say that the wipes coupon applies to both the diapers and wipes so you won't be able to use the $5 diapers/Gerber coupon.

Watch your sizes. The $5 diapers/Gerber coupon is for a *box*. The Baby Club coupon is 34-84 ct package (I think). I think there is some overlap, but I'm not sure.

If the items are regularly $3 each and
- your store does NOT ring BOGOs as 50% off: 8*$3 - $3 ($1/2) - $6 (B3G1F coupons) - $12 (BOGO sale) = $3 for eight

- your store DOES ring BOGOs as 50% off: 8*$1.50 - $3 ($1/2) - $3 (B3G1F coupons) = $6 for eight

this is a little bit confusing...just wanted to clarify
If you use 3 of the $1/2 coupons (for items 1-6) & then use 2 B3G1F (for items 7 & 8) wouldn't you be using more than 1 coupon per item?
Does this make sense?

Does this make sense?
Some stores allow this usage and some don't. The logic behind it is that you're buying the first six items and using the $1/2 coupons on them. Then you are looking to buy item #7. You are using the B3G1F coupon on item #7 alone. You've met the purchase requirements of the coupon because you've bought items #1-3, but the coupon is being applied to item #7. Repeat for item #8. Some stores do not allow this because they consider the B3G1F coupon as applying to all four items (# 1, 2, 3, and 7). In that case, you are correct, that using the $1/2 coupons on items #1-6 would be applying more than one coupon per item.

I do know that I am a bit over pasta, although I will be running out tomorrow for ronzoni BOGOs. (wish those had coupons!)
And I am glad that I only have 4 boxes of strawberry Poptarts left!!! (I once loved those things)

Couponing is great & fun! It occupies your time and thought processes with strategies etc. But in today's economy, you have to have money to utilize the coupons.

I see what you are saying! Thanks a lot! That's a bit confusing...I might print that off & bring it in with me in case they give me trouble :)
Although Publix usually never questions you & they have great customer service!
