Publix policy is to accept "coupons from traditional supermarket competitors". Walgreens, CVS, Target, Pet Supermarket, etc. are not considered TRADITIONAL supermarket competitors. Accepting these coupons breaks policy.

Every time that I have contacted Publix corporate about competitor coupons, they have told me that their policy is to accept competitor coupons, but that it is up to the local store to decide which other store chains are competitors. I do not believe that the stores choosing to accept Walgreens coupons as competitor coupons are violating corporate policy.

If you read the signs that state the policy, they say "Traditional Competitors". There is an internal list that lists traditional and non-traditional competitors. Winn Dixie, Albertsons, etc. are all traditional. BJs, walgreens, petsmart, etc. are non.

Target was removed from your list.

Also, Walgreens coupons are told to be accepted.

But no, BJS and PetSmart aren't traditional competitors.

And yes I have the "internal document", and the update to the R&P.

I'm really confused... Why would you wish it was true? Wouldn't that be disadvantageous to you? And do you work for Publix? No... I do. I'm pretty confident about their policies.

I'm pretty confident about most policies as well, you have a PM.
