    Default Going to Orlando

I'm headed to Disney with the kids in a couple of days. Does anyone know if there is a publix close by or on the way? I need to pick up a few things, and I was wondering if they might take competitors q's. We don't have a food lion, and I would be very happy to use those q's this week! Free coffee, cheap detergent, eggs.

You are a welcomed Q-er here in Florida!
It would be best if you would go to Publix.com and put in the zip code for the area that you will be staying in. Once the nearest Publix is pulled up, you can give them a call and see what comp. Qs you can use.
I know that in my area of Lakeland, Fl (45-1 hr away from Orlando) our Publix does not take Food Lion Qs.

The closest grocery store to the Disney area is Winn Dixie on SR 535.

There are a few Publix stores, SuperTarget and WalMart Supercenter a few miles further away.

Are you staying on Disney property, or in a nearby resort? There is a Publix on 192 and one on 535 near Disney, but I can't say for sure about the Food Lion coupons.

Welcome to the Sunshine State! Hope you have a great time. The weather should be just gorgeous for you!

I agree with pp and check to see which store will be closest to where you'll be staying and call them up to check on their q policy. Try to get the highest possible person working that day and make sure to get their name and title! Have a great vacation!

Thanks so much guys!! We can't wait to be back in Florida, and my little ones are so excited to see Disney for the first time! They are 2, 4, 6, and 8. I know everything will be so magical for them.

I will be at the Westgate Vacation Villas in Kissammee. I looked at the store locater and there were about 10 publix stores within 10 miles LOL. I will probably call the store when I get there that is the easiest for me to find. Or all of them till I get the answers i want to hear . Repping all of you--if I can!

ETA: I got your resort wrong, thought you were staying at the one we stayed at in February -- you're not, LOL. So I erased all the rest of my post...we live in Tampa and go to Disney several times a year, but never been to the one you're visiting. Hope you have a good time!!!

Looks like your closest one is the Orange Lake Blvd one, about three miles away.

Depart 2770 Old Lake Wilson Road on N Old Lake Wilson Rd (N), Turn left (NW) onto US-192 [SR-530], Turn right (N) onto E Orange Lake Blvd, Turn right (W) onto Local road(s), Arrive 14928 E Orange Lake Blvd

    (407) 239-4989 is the store number.

Good luck, and welcome back to Florida! Publix is AWESOME, and this week's specials are really great for a family vacationing in Orlando...lotsa great "essentials" on sale, can't beat a little over a quarter for eggs!!!

I'm glad the info was helpful! I agree that the Orange Lake Publix is the closest to you. I had mapquested it before I realized that MommyDani pointed it out to you, so I'll give you the link.

Driving Directions from 14928 E Orange Lake Blvd, Kissimmee, FL to Westgate Vacation Villas, 2770 N Old Lake Wilson Rd, Kissimmee, FL

    Have a great vacation!

You should have no problem finding a Publix in Kissimmee. They are almost literally on every corner with a Walgreens and a CVS! LOL

We stayed at the Nickelodeon Hotel a few months ago and there was a Publix close to there... if you happen to be over there. ;-)

    enjoy your vacation!
