Anyone near Gainesville, FL?

I'm trying to find out more about getting deals at our Publix centers. I still have to learn all of their coupon rules. I've done some good deals, but really want to try to do better. But I might have to switch to Super Wal Mart if Publix doesn't offer the kind of savings I'd like.

I don't live in Gainesville but recently we were at the Gainesville store north of the city and they had a lot of coupons available. Sorry, I don't know the exit number but it looks like it might have been an older store but the front and the surrounding store fronts look very new. I got some of the coupons and was very please with the assortment. The publix here where I live doesn't have the same ones as that store. I'm going to stop there again when I'm by that way.

I was wondering this myself, as I work in Gainesville. I was also wondering if anyone shopped at the Middleburg Publix, and what their coupon policy was :shrug7:

I don't regularly shop at the Middleburg Publix, but I do shop at the Publix up the road at Blanding & College. I was told that on B1G1 items they only take 1 coupon (for the item you are "buying", not the free one). Now, they will take a competitor & a manu coupon on the 1 item you are paying for.

They do take "competitors" coupons - like Walgreens, CVS, Target and Food Lion. The cashier commented that they don't take BJ's. Also, they are a stickler on the competitors coupons - guess I had one that said something like "1 per transaction/order" and the cashier said she couldn't take more than 1 of those (this was the next time I came in, so I am not positive what the coupons actually said - I think it was a Walgreens RR and I used 2 of them in that order).

I live in Ocala and swear by the deals I get in Publix. In my two Publix stores, I can use two coupons on a BOGO..no problem. Also, look to match a Publix coupon and a manufacturer coupon together for a sale item. Sometimes makes an item free or almost free.

Just an update! I went to the MIddleburg Publix and had an awesome shopping trip. They allowed me to use two coupons on a B1G1 deal. I was also allowed to use a manufacturers coupon and competitors coupon on each item, if I had them. I used more than one of the same Target and Food Lion coupons, so I guess that is not a problem either. You might want to take a trip to the Mburg one sometime instead of the College one and see if you do any better there Thank you guys for all your help!

Wow, that's really interesting! Here in Jacksonville Florida I've only been using one coupon per B1G1. Now I can't remember if I read the policy on here, or if my store told me when I asked them their coupon policy a few months ago. My store on Normandy has been so awesome about everything else, maybe I need to experiment??

I'm in Ocala now, but I used to be in Gainesville. I never had a problem with any of the Gainesville Publix (there's about 10 I believe). I have visited numerous Publix in Gainesville and used coupons without a problem, including two coupons for B1G1 deals.

I live in Hollister, which is close to Gainesville, and our Publix takes 2 q's on B1G1 deals. I guess they are different in other locations

I am in Gainesville, and all of the stores take two coupons on B1G1F deals. They also accept competitor coupons but only for local grocery stores. They do not accept Target (since we have no target with groceries here) or CVS or Walgreen's, etc. They DO take Albertson's, Food Lion, Hitchcock's, etc.
