Do all publix allow you to use a store coupon and a manufacturer coupon on one item? Or is this YMMV?

I just went to publix and they wouldn't let me use my manu q's and comp q's on the chex mix........... Told me to pick which one I wanted to use.

The lady was really rude - first she told me I couldn't use all my q's on my toaster strudel's I'd have to pick - I explained to her that I had 7 boxes and 7 q's so she was like oh okay sorry - then proceeded to count the boxes and the coupons 3x over and THEN counted them on the receipt at the end?!!?!?!?!?!?!?

I'm going to stick with my normal store from now on - but I have a TON of chex mix and toaster strudel q's so I was going to start now so as to be nice and not completely run them out. GEEZ.

Also does anyone know if the turtle chex mix is included in the bogo? They didn't have any of the small bags at that store and that's what I really want........

Did you get the manager involved? I'm sorry that happend to you I shop there every week and I use manufacture, store, or competitor q's on one item. I have no problem. I used to have one lady that tried to give me grief about "the rules" and I always called the store manager to settle it.....and of course I was right on all occasions. LOL

The manager agreed with the cashier - at least I'm pretty certain it was the manager - I should have read her name tag - she was up at the customer service desk and pretty official looking.

I think I may e-mail Publix and ask them and let them know.

You would be substituting the Target store coupon for the Publix store coupon, but same principle.

Just to be clear, you can use one manufacturer's plus one store coupon on each item, as long as there is no wording on the coupons prohibiting it. That is, a mfr plus one Publix OR competitor coupon on that item.

One coupon per item is the RULE in Huntsville. You must PICK which coupon you use, as you can't use both. I've talked to Joe the District Manager and that's the rule. Any other use in Huntsville is not according his regulations.

I had an issue the other day, the cashier picked through my q's with a fine tooth comb. She said they had a meeting and they were told to be more careful because a lot of people were using counterfeit q's. But in the end all of mine were real!!!

BTW - Harvest Sq. (North AL) let me use 1 man & 1 store q.

I've never had a problem using both at my store.

However the other night on the V8, the cashier told me I couldn't use 2 coupons (1 publix,1mfr). I told her the policy was that I could use use 1 publix, 1 mfr per item. A different cashier chimed in that they were just told only one coupon per item. The manager on duty was bagging and was like it is ok, accept the coupons.

The 2nd cashier said to me, I guess it just depends on the manager on duty.

I've used a store/competitor with a manu. q at the hwy 72 store in Huntsville, and at the Harvest sq. store. My sister uses the smaller publix in Madison sometimes, because it is closer to her. She said that they look at her funny sometimes, but have not given her any trouble. I've printed the email nrpeace posted in case they give me any trouble about it to see what they will say. I save to much money to back down.
