Yay! For another Beech-Nut cereal coupon. Last time they issued this I was able to combine it with the $1 manufacturer's coupon to make for free + overage infant cereal (I think the cereal is $1.69?). With a newborn, all that free cereal will be coming in handy in the next few months.

Did anyone notice the Kraft ad saying, "For affordable weeknight dinner recipes that are $15 or less, text KRAFT to 56376." I almost spit my gum out! For one thing--$15.00???!!!! Only a steak dinner costs $15.00 at our house! Most of our dinners are less than $5.00 and often just 2 or 3 dollars! For another thing, why would I spend money to send a text message to Kraft to get a recipe?! LOL! I would say I am not the target consumer for that ad, and I imagine most people here at HCW are not, either!

thl, I saw that, too. Many weeks I don't spend $15 total for groceries...and that includes weeks when I am stockpiling an item or two. I think maybe we have no idea how much people "out there" are really paying for groceries. I've been couponing too long to know what the average grocery bill is for non-couponers. Just looking at the prices on the shelves, I imagine that lots of people would think $15 for a meal that they have to cook themselves and eat at home is not a bad deal. I would gag on every bite of it.

I haven't been couponing all that long and when I wasn't a 15 dollar meal was still high. I think I may send a text just to see what kind of 15 dollar meal they are offering and how much WE would end up spending on it. Anyone care to play? LOL

I'm game but I hate for you to spend money on a text message! I bet it's the same recipes on their website or in the "Food and Family" magazine.
