I have a WAGS right across from my Publix, I usually don't frequent WAGS but now I may have to start -- thanks!

Ah so that explains our trade for Coffee Mate last week!

Special K with strawberries definitely calls for white!

That is a good price, I go to the one in Marietta about once a month so I will have to check there too. I love Whole Foods

Wow a gallon a day?! That is alot of milk! But if you have a large family that likes milk I can see it. I make DH and DD split the chocolate milk, they get 1/2 of white skim and 1/2 fat free chocolate milk in a glass and we stir it up. They both actually really like it this way as they say straight chocolate is too sweet.

Thanks for all the commiseration guys.........hopefully our wonderful mods don't get too mad at me for getting OT!

Aldi stores in GA have milk for $2+ a gallon or at least they have for the past couple of weeks. May want to check them out.

Yep...Aldi's is the only place we buy milk now. It is always around $2.00-$2.50 a gallon here (Atlanta area). I just wish Aldi's was closer, but luckily my parents pick us up a gallon too every time they are near the store.

My Publix had a typed sign yesterday that milk was $3 a gallon. I didn't buy any because I had already gotten some at Aldi for $2.69 a gallon.

I get my milk at Aldi's for $1.99 too along with bananas @.44 a lb and some of their brand crackers @ .79.

I can run by after work and then I do my other shopping at Publix.

Our Publix milk is $4.29 a gallon. I don't know how they can justify it when this week at Walgreens milk is $3.29 (I was floored).

Today DH and I hit the motherlode of Lawry's - $1 hangtags as far as the eye could see. We left plenty for everyone else, but had the chance to observe other shoppers as we stood ripping the q's out of the hangtags. Several people looked at the Lawry's, then bought another kind of marinade for $3-4 a bottle. The last was the worst - a lady took ONE....ONE bottle of Lawry's, not even bothering to get one with a coupon on it. I wanted to chase her down and beat some sense into her. My marinade was .30 a bottle. Hers was 2.59. It's because of this kind of stupidity/laziness/oblivion that stores can charge outrageous prices.

I'm sure this lady also paid $4.29 for the gallon of milk in her cart because going across the street to Walgreens to save a dollar would have been too much to ask.

I so wish I could get cheap milk. Ours is 4.19 a gallon and has been this way for months. A few miles down the road the other Publix has the milk priced 3.99 a gallon but raised it friday to 4.19. That is still cheap because store brand up near the lake where I live is 5.29 a gallon.

I try to catch it on sale when it's marked down at one of our local Krogers. I average paying $ 2.00 to $ 2.50 a gallon and buying as many as I possibly can and storing them in our chest freezer. I average about 6 and that lasts us a month or more. Thank goodness we purchased a chest freezer on sale a few years ago.It has ended up recently being one of the wisest purchases we have ever made especially with these crazy milk prices.

4.19 in some and 4.29 in others. Aldi's is now 2.69 but still good! Better than Sams Club vs 3.09 sheesh

I made rice milk last night for about .50 a gal. The kids had it with their cereal this morning and loved it. I think I'll be making it for all my baking and cereal. My dd want pancakes made with it tomorrow. :)
