Default Question: Wanchai Dinner Kits- your opinion?

Noticed these on sale this week. Have you tried them and do you like them?
Thanks!

I have never tried them, but at that price I think now is a good time. I'm going to get some Monday when I make my weekly trip. :)

We like all of them, but our favorite is the Kung Pao. They do tend to be a bit spicy (except for the Sweet & Sour) and I always have to make extra white rice to feed a family of 4.

I was wondering how healthy these were, are they loaded with preservatives and sodium?

I don't know about the health part, but our family loves the ones we've tried. I've gotten the Spicy Garlic Chicken and the Sweet and Sour Chicken. They do have a bit of a kick to them.

One note though: we have a big family (9 people living in the house), so thought I would need to make two boxes and double the chicken, but because the sauces are so strong I probably could have just increased the chicken and made more plain white rice.

We also make homemade fried rice with it.

I bought four today using the $1.10 IP's. We made the Kung Pao chicken tonight. When the PP's mentioned it was spicy, they weren't kidding, and I like spicy. The kit came with 5 hot peppers, and I took two and chopped them up before adding them (left the other 3 out). My husband's eyes watered. But man, it was a tasty meal! Better than our local delivery place, and for a tenth of the price!

Thanks everyone! We'll definitely try these now! Does anyone know if they have MSG? I know very few products do now but I get the worse headaches. We like spicy too!

I got 8 or 10 of them (can't remember how many coupons I had)... I hope I like them LOL

I got Spicy Garlic and Sweet & Sour (I hope they arent TOOOO spicy). I am not into veggies very much so I like the idea of making these kits the way I like them.... plain.

You can view the ingredients list on the Wanchai Ferry website. Go to Products and then Nutrition Facts. At a quick glance, I didn't see any MSG, but I don't have on my glasses and everything started to blur together.

P.S. You can also print out $1 off coupons from the site.
